I loved this.
cute!
The storyline made sense and could have been better if the script had been better. But I was mostly into the artwork.
So I kind of had hopes for this. I don't remember when it came out and it came out during a period when I was still pretty DC buying happy, but that should probably tell you something right there (my LCS was very big on marketing anything "girl" comic oriented my way since I was one of the few girls who came in and read almost anything and gave them feedback). This wasn't BAD, but it was kind of...unexceptional. Okay well I liked the artwork. And I appreciated the attempt at diversity they did, b...
So I picked this up knowing it would be trashy, and had it been released one or two years earlier, I could've sworn it was a Minx title: awful titles aimed at girls but written mostly by men (the worst of which I've read being Clubbing).I actually didn't realize this was published by DC until I looked up the background: I'd never heard of this series, and for good reason. The plot relies on high school stereotypes with misogyny on every page. There's a double "gotcha" plot twist at the end t...
Mean girls with superpowers.
2 starsThis book had such potential. A great premise, amazing cover art, issues #2-5 have great art by Christine Norrie, yet none of this can save the slow and obvious script. This had real promise to be a scathing satire, unfortunately it never fulfills that promise.
That was an utter waste of charming artwork and a middling premise. Bad writing tends to ruin books.
The most popular High School girls accidentally gets superpowers. And yes they are bad girls. Can the new girl and the geek stop them, or join them?
I thought it was ok, but the plot need a little more.

Picked up this five-issue set in a used bookstore. A "got milk?" ad featuring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft and another for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer proved I would have been squarely in the target demographic at one time, but I had never heard of it. (Also, trust me, searching for a book titled Bad Girls on Goodreads is almost as fruitless and squicky as giggling it would no doubt have been.)Good art, likeable main character, fun if slightly hackneyed premise (unsuspecting teens get superpowers...
I absolutely love Christine Norrie's artwork. I've loved it ever since I picked up my first copies of Hopeless Savages. I've never had the chance to be exposed to Jennifer Graves or Steve Vance, but I figured hey... I love Norrie & I've yet to be disappointed by any project she's been attached to. Unfortunately this book just didn't grab me like I'd hoped it would.New girl Lauren figures that she'll have better chances of fitting in at her new school because well, its literally a new school. An ok book. Great idea but not well followed out. Overall not worth it.
Wish I could give this more stars. The art was very promising, which is why I picked up the book, but the writing really didn’t live up to the art at all.
