Kaira Looro is one of the most important international architecture competition for developing countries, open to students and young architects from all over the world. The goal of this contest is to develop projects and research focused on architecture in developing countries and on solutions to humanitarian and environmental emergencies.This book collects and presents the best projects of the third edition for a Peace Pavilion in the 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize, seven mentions and twenty finalists evaluated by an international jury made up of Kengo Kuma , Agostino Ghirardelli , Toshiki Hirano , Urko Sanchez , Diana Lopez Caramazana , Jean Paul Sebuhayi Uwase & Noella Nibakuze and the scientific committee composed by Sebastiano D’Urso , Moussa Souane , and Raoul Vecchio .The book also includes a preface by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and reflections on the potential and perspectives of architecture on the African continent, written by A. Ghirardelli, G. Brizzi, R. Vecchio and S.
