The life of the photographer can be extremely lonely. Many times that solitude is needed to find our images, to achieve the correct framing, complicity with the city, and even to develop and enlarge our copies. Loneliness can become a photographer's companion, but it is not something natural. We all need to talk about what we do, about what we think, about how we see life.

It is there when many times we can lose our way, when we are alone.

Notas a pie de vagón, beyond being the transcription of a notebook that became my companion in the dining cars of dozens of trains in those lonely moments, are the phrases that I would have liked to talk with another photographer while I was in those trains. They are not truths, they are ideas, ideas that are likely to change, mutate or die, just like any conversation in a cafe. Ideas that were nurtured and inspired a month of photographs.
