The second story, set in modern-day Boston, focuses on the sexual exploits of a Harvard student, eventually revealing that he, too, is a murderer. Carefully intertwining the two narratives of the young murderers, this novel ultimately begs the question "Can actions change not just the future but, more compellingly, the past?"
