Three cheers for Tillis Shakey!
We love all things Scooby-Doo, so whenever we find a Scooby-Doo book we haven't read yet at our local library, we just have to borrow it. The stories in the Scooby-Doo! Mysteries series are simple, fun, and we enjoy reading them together. Right now, our girls really like these short chapter books, but they also like the shorter picture books too. We've read about seventy of these stories, but there are so many more out there...I think we'll be having fun with these stories for years to come.This...
My son picked this up at the library and asked me to read it to him. Certainly not a book I would have purposefully picked up and chosen to read to him but hey, he ASKED me to read a book to him!!!! Scooby fans should enjoy this one and my kids tried to figure out who the ghostly umpire was as I read.
Huh
Shaggy has won tickets to a baseball game and he and Scooby and the gang go to Shakey Stadium to watch the Shakey Comets play. While at the game, they witness a ghostly umpire and other scary sights. This short chapter book follows the tried-and-true Scooby mystery formula. It has a few color illustrations scattered
this book is funny and mysterious
Not as good as the original show, or even the other books in this series.EDIT: As I said in another recent review, I must have been having a bad day when I originally assessed this book. It's just like the others in the series: fun, charming, and true to the old-school episodes.
My 8 year old loved this Scooby Doo chapter book. It was very easy to guess who the monster was but he still enjoyed it.
Very fun
