**NetGalley / EbookThis was a great book. Very satisfying from beginning to end. This was my 1st Kiersten Modglin book and I'm already reading another one (The Arrangement). Modglin is an excellent storyteller. If you like domestic suspense/thrillers, then you've gotta check out Tell Me The Truth. The MC is annoying throughout most of the book, she's unreliable and all over the place. However, how can she help it when her husband could've taught a class on lying & gaslighting?!?! He's got her in
Wow!!!! This fast past novel was so much fun. What would you do if you caught your husband was cheating, and this is not the first time? Do you try to save your marriage when you discover your pregnant? The story gets so crazy! Do the jilted women work together when they find out about each other? Have you read a book by this author? I am looking for more now! Which one do you recommend next? 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thanks @netgalley and @kierstenmodglinauthor for this copy! #kierstenmodglin, #netgalley, #b...
This was such a quick read! One of my fav author is Kiersten Modglin in psychological thriller, exceptional in writing books with twisty, unpredictable, suspense and engaging stories. However, the scenes in this book is not that heavy compare to her other books, they were quite realistic and probably be happening in real life. (view spoiler)[(Not sure with the killing part though) (hide spoiler)] I do like the characters in this book, the gaslighting and cheater "Joe", "Edith" a strong character...
Rating: 3Publication Date: 5/10/22I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a fantastic job! She had me hooked from the beginning. I listened to this one at 2.5 speed so it ended up being around 4.5 hours. With that in mind I enjoyed this one because I didn’t waste my time. If this book would have been 8hours or if I actually read the physical then I think I would be upset. I say that because the book already felt a little too long and repetitive. If you know me then you know I hate repet...
Quick read, let me think about that ending!Oh wow, that was quick, I finished it in almost one sitting. This is my third book by KM, and I'm guessing this is her style; fast-paced, popcorn domestic suspense with a twist or two.Set in smalltown Dale, Georgia, Edith's husband Joe is about to get busted. He's a talented liar or cheater or both? Edith delves into his personal things to find answers. She trails him at night for clues to his whereabouts. The author made me self-doubt the whole situati...
2.5 stars, rounded upKiersten Modglin's twisty thrillers are always entertaining. I can count on her books to deliver some great twists every time. This book was entertaining in a soapy kind of way. I have said in a few recent reviews that I'm totally over gaslighting as a plot device, so thus the middle-of-the-road rating. The book is redeemed in the end with a clear, satisfying conclusion. However, in my opinion it takes way too long to get there and I missed out on the satisfaction of seeing
Mehhhh… I was about 50% in before I realized this was written by Modglin. I loathed The Reunion and, not surprisingly, I ended up feeling close to the same way with this one. Here there was a bit of a stronger storyline, however, the eye-rolling end kinda cemented the low rating. This was short, but still completely repetitive. Edith was so lacking in even the most basic of common sense that I had a very hard rooting for her, or buying into her plight. The only highlights for me were Dan, the ma...
I devoured this fast-paced, unpredictable, engaging read in one evening. This well-written story of deception hooked me from the beginning. The first twist, as they often are in Kiersten's novels, was a thrilling welcome into the world of Edith and Joe. I was as desperate to learn the truth of what was happening in this marriage as Edith was. Be prepared to stay up all night! Tell Me the Truth is the best psychological thriller I've read this year!
Another winner by the thrill queen herself! Thank you to Kiersten for the Arc copy of this book! This was a fun, fast paced book! There’s always a choice…I love when books are fast paced and still have the thrill in each chapter begging you to keep reading. This is why I enjoy this authors books so much! A secret love triangle takes a turn for the worst and you won’t expect the ending!
Kiersten Modglin has a particular talent with writing twisty, suspenseful books that are impossible to put down until they’re finished and this one was no exception. It was a quick read that had me glued to the pages. I liked the characters in this one more than normal (except Joe). The writing is, as usual, great and the story was well paced. It wasn’t about red herrings as much as twists and turns in the narrative which totally worked. Edith found naked pictures of another woman in her husband...
Joe and Edith are a married couple living life and trying to clear their bills with whatever earnings they both earn. He is a Teacher and she works in a store. Life is okay for them.Until...She finds photos of unknown woman in her husband’s phone.(view spoiler)[I loved how Edith doesn’t fall for Joe’s charm and she keeps digging in. He was so charming and tries to woo her but she never trusts him. He was on her blacklist and she wasn’t going to stop until she finds the truth.I loved Edith’s gay
