But how can we know what we're praying for if we don't know about heaven?

That's the beauty of Revelation 4 and 5. john the Apostle gives us a vision of what's happening in heaven: a world of worship and praise to the Lord, a picture of the incredible worthiness of the Lamb who was slain.

Here we'll unpack the heavenly scene, using fee verse poetry.

After some introductory material and a quick overview of Revelation 1-3, this book goes through the entire text of Revelation 4 and 5, verse by verse, and sometimes word by word.

Each poem includes, in italics, the specific words of Scripture that the rest of the poem explores.

We pray that you come away enthralled anew with the beauty of the Lord.

One day we will meet
The Savior
Face to face.

For now, we have the opportunity
To discover who he is.

The revelation in Revelation
Helps prepare us
For that day when we will be
Before the Lord himself;

The great and dreadful day
When we will be
Before the God of heaven,
The God of Earth.

Now is the day of preparation.

Eternity begins
