‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾☆ 3.97 stars ☆☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙the ending had me tearing up y’all🥺🥺🥺I know my rating makes me look picky (and I am), so let me explain. the first 40%: - 1 starmy least favorite part of these duet. it was a lot of unnecessary back and forth between Gemma and Isaiah, that was for nothing. It was repetitive and the “I’m never doing that again while doing exactly that again 2 pages later” speech every chapter was super annoying. I would’ve 100% preferred seeing Isaiah actually planning and telling us...
A whopping 4.5! Yaaasss, Ms. Sylvis. That’s how you do it. I liked book one. I did, but this second installment? Blew it out of the park. I’m not going to give much away — or anything at all, since I personally wouldn’t have wanted to be spoiled when it came to the story myself, but let me tell you this: it made my favorite bully romances ever list. Gemma, gurl, I salute you. Her strength, resilience, perseverance and just her kind nature is hard not to admire. Don’t get me wrong, she’s kind but...
Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐OMG, THIS BOOK WAS INCREDIBLE. There aren’t enough words to explain the amazingness of this book. I loved it so much. There was so much happening and the story was just amazing. The plot was very well planned out. Every event was well written and the whole book seemed to go so fast. It was a bittersweet ending and I literally need whatever comes next right now. This duet was beautiful. Absolutely bodacious. I received a review copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow wow wow!! This was an epic conclusion to the Gemma and Isaiah duet in the St Mary’s series. This book picks up where we left off. Isaiah has decided his life is too dangerous and needs Gemma to hate him and leave him. We discover a lot of hidden secrets and the mystery surrounding Gemma’s family life with the Judge!!This book series is now one of my top five reads. Isaiah is a book boyfriend you would regret not having. I adore SJ Sylvis’ writing. She writes with such precision and makes you...
This is the second book that I have read from this author and is the second in the St Mary's Duet and its a fantastic duet. This picks carries straight on from the first which you must read before starting this one.Gemma and Isaiah are bound together no matter what and when they both realise that this is the case they try and fight it at first until things happen that are out of there control and that brings them closer together. She knows that in her world she cant trust no one and the amount o...
I just finished this book and it was all I needed. Perfect ending for this perfect story. I usually wait for release day to post a review, but I decided to do it now 😊When I got my ARC from the first book, and it end up with that cliffhanger, I couldn't wait for book 2. I know that I would finish it in one day (if my husband was not sick 🙄😅), but now I needed two 😅 I loved it. I love Isaiah and Gemma. I love there love story. Their passion. His possessives, and her innocence. But also. I love ho...
I. Am. Speechless!! I just finished the conclusion of Gemma & Isaiah‘s story and I am stunned. Speechless. Overwhelmed. Emotional. What a fantastic, amazing duet the author presented us. Thrilling from book 1 page 1 until the last page in book 2. I was vividly living in St. Mary‘s while reading. It felt like I was a figure in the story standing next to everyone. Outstanding. All the possibilities for future books. Yay! I see greatness in the future. That epilogue was so promising. Loved it.
5 STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Wow… to say this book is phenomenal is an understatement. Going into this book, my expectations were extremely high, I mean the first book was already incredible and I knew this one was just going to be better. And I’m so happy to say, that this book did indeed surpass my expectations, it was a true MASTERPIECE.Since it’s the second book in the duet, you do need to read Good Girls Never Rise (book 1) before starting this one. Book 2 picks up right where the previous one left off and...
I received an ARC of this book and this is my own and honest review. Holy smokes I’m not sure I’ve ever been more consumed by a duet in my life! Good Girls Never Rise was amazing and this book also didn’t disappoint in any way. From the opening page I was fully invested. The story flowed so well and was full of suspense and had me on the edge of my seat with my heart pounding at times, it was completely captivating and intriguing.I wanted to read it as slow as possible but at the same time fast
I'll start by saying that at the end of part one of this duet I had a feeling for who Gemma could be (anyone who reads it will understand what I mean) and honestly I'm not sure how I feel about discovering Gemma's origins. Does it seem like a far-fetched revelation?! I think I still haven't digested it well (hence the 4 stars). Nevertheless, what a wonderful duet ending! After that final scene in part one, I wasn't expecting the roller coaster of feelings that followed. From the tension between
4.5 starsThis book was much better than the first in this duet, and all the tackiest bits of the first part were pushed away in the second. Sylvis' writing style is captivating, and I'll definitely be reading Cade and Journey's book, because I love them already.I think the writing here was way better than GGNR, as the author eased up on all the excessive narration. This was a much quicker read since the plot was already established and the writing became less loaded. The plot twists here felt ki...
Rating: 5/5 🌟I will just let you know that my review is not gonna justify how good this book was, I am gonna try my best tho. This book started out immediately from where it ends in the first book, duh. The feels this book gave, I am not a huge fan of dark romance, but if it is something like this, sign me the hell up😂Gemma and Isaiah were just *chef's kiss* They were perfect for each other, but this ain't the cliche good girl/bad boy let me tell you that. She is snappy and he doesn't take a shi...
Bad Boys Never Fall is the sequel to Good Girls Never Rise and it picks up where the first book left off. Since there’s a MAJOR CLIFFHANGER in Good Girls Never Rise, I’m thankful for the author for publishing this one only two weeks after the first book was out. I mean, the St. Mary’s duet gives me life and being able to binge read these two in one sitting reenergizes me.To begin with, we catch a glimpse of Gemma’s dark past in Good Girls Never Rise, and little do we know that it’s just the begi...
I don't know how of if i'm going to be able to do this book justice in a review but i'm going to try my best. This duet is exceptional and honestly one of the best universes I have ever read. Sammi truly knows how write griping plots and twist as well as lovable characters. I speak for everyone who's read her books when I say she writes the best possessive grumpy bad boys and Isaiah is no exception. This book along with this universe and characters have consumed my mind. Its the perfect combinati...
My goodness this gave me everything I needed after reading Good Girls Never Rise! The HEA and the back stories for various characters were so beautifully written and wrapped up, and I can’t wait for the spin off books!
Dangggg! The conclusion to Isaiah and Gemma, sooooo ridiculously good!!!! I could not put it down!!!! This book picks up where book 1 ends and I just was breezing through until the very end. The mystery, suspense, the supporting characters, the bad guys, the good guys, surprises, all of it, *chefs kiss💋. Love love love, can’t wait for alllllll the future books that will come from this series.
BBNF was the perfect conclusion after the jaw-dropping cliffhanger S.J. Sylvis left us with. The twists and turns in this duet gave me whiplash—in the best possible way. S.J. Sylvis takes the reader on a ride that has you questioning everything. I love when I'm proven wrong in my assumptions about a plot, and S.J. created a true masterpiece with this duet. The slow burn between Gemma and Isaiah was perfect for the characters and storyline. And once the steam picked up... holy hell. I can't wait f...
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.IsaiahWe were destined to burn from the second I laid eyes on her. Within every dark corner of St. Mary's Boarding School, watchful eyes tracked our every move. My guilty conscience whispered unjust excuses in my ear anytime we touched. Our futures suddenly became unclear, and the already blurred lines became blurrier. A past we didn't know existed turned our walls of self-preservation to rubble. The
