Amelia is OBSESSED with Avril Lavigne. I know EVERYTHING about her. I HAVE to read this book.
Pop sugar challenge "read book with pictures". Chose a comic as a new genre for me. Fun to read.
Lovely art by Camilla D'Errico (who should be listed as a co-author) provide mood and texture for this story of a troubled young girl whose fantasy life becomes a bit too real when she visits a website called Make5wishes.com. The authors aren't afraid to make their protagonist Hana sullen and sometimes unpleasant, and it pays off by giving her a deeper characterization than found in some young adult graphic novels I've read lately. Her anger and sadness are palpable, and her fantasy involving Av...
I found this when I was doing some tidying of the manga shelves, and what a happy surprise it was! An Avril Lavigne comic!!It's in full color, which is exciting, and I enjoyed the artwork. I also enjoyed the main character, Hana, who is often a jerk. Very realistic.Didn't so much enjoy the endorsement from Avril when the book is all about a girl who idolizes her so much she spends all of her time up in her room talking to her Avril posters...I think it would have worked better for me had the pop...
Very cute, good life lessons. Need the next asap
I think this is a great book because its full of interesting events of Hana 's lives . However i gave it a 4 because in my opinion its a litter non realistic that a teen would fall in a computer scam like 5 wishes my favorite parts is when Hana is talking to Avril and to me its like Hana needs someone like her to be looking after her . she is probably making her up to scape from her problems like what happen in the book sold but lashmi thougth of home to keep of . but, Hana make her up to think
I liked this way more than I thought I would, although the first volume is better than the second. Creepy "monkey's paw" sort of story, and the art really makes it work. The obvious media tie-in with Avril is grating, though, and it makes you wonder why she was a part of it at all (except to help cash in.)
Your basic monkey's paw story, but it's modernized for geek kids and done in very pretty art.Yes, okay, I was a little embarrassed to be seen checking this out of the library. It really is that bright pink. It's not bad, though!
found it at the library today. trite, hilarious. 2 stars.
any one who likes books about peoples life should try it. P.S rating is 13 or over
It was very interesting.
Fairly generic "monkey's paw"/"be careful what you wish for" type of story, about a girl who obtains a demon that will grant her 5 wishes. It's been done before and done better.

I read this online way back 2006 or 2007 when its update circulated the web and before I had my own copy. It was a video of the actual pages with background music and you can really feel the story.I am a big fan of Avril Lavigne at the time because that is the year of her generation. It is exciting to hear that your favorite musical artist wrote a story and is going to publish it as a graphic novel, which, at the time and even now, is so appealing to me.I find it really cold to read, it has this...
This was super weird and uncomfortable to read.I’m going to continue on only because I have the second volume and they’re quick reads. I agree with what a lot of people said in their reviews; that we could have done without Avril Lavigne, and just had her character as a general rock/pop star so that more people could relate. I do like Avril, though. It just felt a bit odd in this particular story. This story was also super dark which I was not expecting, and even being a 20yr old, I was a bit con...
Easy to read but no resolution in book. You have to read the next one to know what happens. I don't know of the story gets better in the next volume or counts but I'm not really a fan of the storyline as of volume 1. This book is about a preteen who is unable to connect with people so creates an imaginary famous friend through listening to her music who then meets a wishing demon who grants her 5 wishes. I do however like the art and the drawing style. ♡♡♡ The second star is purely because of th...
I actually rather enjoyed this little book. It's a story that's been done many times before, and in many different ways but I liked the characters and enjoyed following Hana on her adventures. Really interested in reading vol 1 and seeing where it goes.
