I never read America Chavez before this year and I can't even begin to tell ya'll how thankful I am that I made the decision to pick of this run. It's been a joyride and it's been tackling so many great issues. This issue in particular was jaw dropping. There was a character that continued to follow America around and burned down the home of her adoptive parents to gain her attention. Readers will be shocked when they figure out who this character is. Essentially, this entire issue rewrites what...
So, I’m not sure if this retcon is permanent but, personally, I don’t think I like the changes.

don't know how I feel about them retconning her origin like that, I liked the mysterious, expansiveness of the original, but I think this is still interesting and certainly more emotional (also seems like we're gonna loose the demiurge/billy connection, they've gotta find some way to explain that, right?)
Finding of her origin story was great and inreresting. I wanted to see where it was going to go.
