The Bonnie Lad

When a young man washes up on his shore, Cillian Bochanan doesn’t know quite what to make of him. The lad’s behavior is odd, to say the least. As Cillian helps him recover from his injuries, he has more questions than answers regarding his strange arrival. Where did he come from? Who are his people? But the young man doesn’t have language, can’t even speak his own name.  

What begins for Cillian as a wary tolerance escalates into a sense of propriety as he finds himself desiring more of the young man’s obedience. Through ritual and routine, rules and consequences, the two navigate this strange relationship, and only when the outside world interferes does Cillian begin to doubt himself.  

They don’t understand that Cillian's brand of discipline is for the lad’s benefit. That the sea may have spit him out, but Cillian will be damned if it swallows him whole. Cillian is only one man against the whole of the ocean, and the sea will claim his lover if he lets it.
