THIS SERIES IS AMAZING. If the “Romeo and Juliet” part didn’t draw you in, how about “enemies to lovers”? If “enemies to lovers” didn’t draw you in, how about “1920s Shanghai”? If THOSE didn’t draw you in, how about “super intense alien-monster mystery?” Or “childhood lovers separated and now they’re enemies”? Or “mutual pining”? Or “low-key soulmates”? I've just finished the 2nd book and so I want to share my thoughts on this duology.First of all, I enjoyed both of the books even though it took me a while to be truly intresed in them.
