2,5/5. I pick this one essentially for the Red Hood story (and seriously what is it with the comic world and short stories collection at the moment!!??). It was a really good one, darker, like I like my DC's to be, but also the only one really worth it in my opinion so I can't give a really good rating to this issues in general...
Red Hood & Batman - 4⭐Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy - 3⭐The Outsiders - 1⭐Grifter - 4⭐
Red Hood: 4.25 🌟 (promising start!)Harley Quinn: 2.5 🌟 (feel like I'm missing something?)Outsiders: 1 🌟 (wasn't really anything at all, story or character-wise)Grifter: 3.5 🌟 (so excited for a grifter storyline!!)
So we have the editor's note to say Scarecrow is dead, but then who's running around in Batman #106? And Batman won't work with Jason because "he's a killer," so he completely forgot about Jason aiding him in Joker War? The Harley/Ivy thing just feels more forced with each story it's written into. As with the Outsiders trio... Jefferson just gave Rex a lobotomy? And I really had no interest in the Grifter story so I skimmed to the end. Nice to see Nora Fries is still out and about. Or, was I gue...
Four stars for the Zdarsky story, two stars for the rest.
To be honest, I know little about Grifter so I can’t really comment on that. However, the rest I’m familiar with. Including flashbacks (of which I’m usually not a fan) in the Red Hood story was such a good idea because it added something more both visually and in terms of the pace. I also can’t help getting all giddy when there’s Oracle.Harley and Ivy, I’m so excited to read more about. And we got a kiss on the continuity? Hell yes. Moreover, Phillips and Braga made a great team. And I thoroughl...

i only cared for jason and harley/pam 😬 but this is coming from someone that dont know shit about the other stories (aside from katana)
Solo por el beso entre Ivy y Harley se merece 5 estrellas pero, igualmente, es muy buen cómic
lo empecé a leer solamente por ivy pero lo demás también me gustó
Cheer - 5New Roots - 2The Caretaker - 4The Long Con - 3
All of these stories were really good, none of them wrap up. It's like buying a book that is really the opening two chapters of five other books. Now, maybe I'm just too impatient and all will be finished in time as the title continues. That's fair, but man, that's a lot of unfinished plot threads in one purchase.
Red Hood & Batman: 5⭐Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy: 3⭐The Outsiders: 1⭐Grifter: 4⭐
I'm so happy I decided to start this series!! I thought this was really good. Anthology books are always risky because the stories can go from hits to misses so fast, I actually think everything in this was really solid. Red Hood: 4/5This was a great Jason Todd story and a good start to a four part story. I always love when DC explores the relationship between Jason and Bruce and the exploration of that here was solid. I also loved seeing Jason torn between doing right and wrong, the ending of t...
Red Hood 4/5Harley Quinn 1/5Outsiders 1/5Grifter 1/5The Zdarsky story is solid, the other 3 are borderline unreadable. Couldn’t give an elevator pitch on any of them. I won’t be picking up the second issue, the quality control is shocking.
Cheer (1 of 6): Great atmosphere and set-up for what looks to be an emotional arc for Jason. New Roots: Really just a brief glimpse into Harley's psyche. Nothing particularly special, but not bad and flows well. The Caretaker (1 of 3): Very little of substance. Reads like a genuine waste of space. Drags the book down. The Long Con (1 of 5): An interesting start with solid action and panelling. ---Urban Legends #1 is a fine enough read, but it's essentially reading the beginning of four different
I thought this was pretty good!
The first two stories alone are worth the price of admission and get this 5 stars. In reverse order. Grifter - this was a step down and a bit of a disappointment compared to the Grifter stories I really enjoyed from Future State. Not terrible by any means though and I do like that it is suspenseful without being convoluted or confusing. Outsiders - absolutely love the art. Probably my favorite throughout the issue. Because of the short length the story it felt a little rushed but was intriguing a...
It was nice! The Harley and Ivy story was what I bought this for, but the other parts were nice to see too. The Red Hood story stuck out to me quite a bit so I’m interested to see what the future comics plan to do with him. I wish they didn’t push so many comics in one book because I felt a little overwhelmed by all the content.
