Not me thinking Vice Commander Hoshina was a girl for 18 freaking chaptersI really like how faced paced this is. It's just on to the next big fight in every couple of episodes. At the same time it could possibly get draining so I hope there's room for us to catch our breaths too like they did with the celebratory dinner.
Kafka Hibino gets a golden opportunity to showcase his strength in an effort to help his friends until he has to go up against an unexpected threat only to discover each of their limits. While he proves himself to the eyes of others, a new threat emerges in the dark, requiring the Japanese Defense Force's members to work together to stop a cataclysmic disaster. As if the first two volumes weren't enough to determine the exquisite quality of this new series, mangaka Naoya Matsumoto proves once mor...
Kaiju no. 8 is definitely going on my 'favourite shonens' shelf 😌✨ Kafka is so cool and I love the other protagonists!
This series has been a nice surprise! I wasn’t really interested based on the premise but after hearing others saying it was great, I gave it a try and super enjoyed it.In some ways it’s got what you would expect from a kaiju action series - big monsters, big guns, explosions etc. But there are several things about it that are interesting & surprising enough to make it a really fun read, rather than just covering well-trodden ground. The main character is 32, rather than a teenager, which is a fr...
***read via MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA (app on tablet)***Before reading volume 1: for someone who has never seen Godzilla and/or King Kong (or anything with kaiju) I sure do like stories about monsters...After reading: ok the pace is still very high but I sorta thought that having some slow moments would be better. I do think I'm only saying that because I'm reading a lot of chapters in one go.***Chapters:***Chapter 18Chapter 19Chapter 20Chapter 21Chapter 22Chapter 23Chapter 24Chapter 25Chapter 26
High stakes, fast paced fight scenes and creatively drawn monsters collaborate to bring (arguably) the best entry so far. Effortlessly awesome, Matsumato maximises the magnificent and brings another banger of a volume to the table.
Raid on Tachikawa arc has got to be my favorite arc so far!I love how brainy Kafka is, here, in exchange for not being that strong enough (without using Kaiju no. 8) I can't stop calling him Taiju in my mind! His face just reminds me of him so much, although they certainly are nothing alike! If you know what I mean, haha!Anyway, again the action-packed Raid on Tachikawa arc! I love that we can finally see Hoshina's full-full potential—versus Monster no. 9! My heart was beating so fast. Now, that...
This is so good to me. I love it!!!!
This newest arc has been insane. The monster attack on the base was so unexpected and out of nowhere, but I'm SO on board. This might be where Hibino reveals himself as the 8th Kaiju in front of Hoshina. We'll have to see, though.
This didn't have me quite as hooked as the previous volume, but I'm still enjoying this. We wrap up the fight against the humanoid kaiju in this volume, as well as getting to see Hoshina in action and the beginning of an aerial attack against the base. I do wish the age difference between Kafka and the rest of the new officers was distinguished a little more - he's in his thirties but he acts like the stereotypical shounen protagonist, and I wanted a little more from this than that. Still, it's
J'adore toujours autant Kaiju n°8! C'est toujours rempli d'action et j'aime beaucoup le plot. Personnellement, c'est un manga que je vois bien adapté en anime. Il y a pas mal de choses à faire et à développer 🤔
Classic shonen story but it's still very good and I can't wait for the next volume !
Comme avec L'Attaque des Titans : de mieux en mieux! Et tant de questions sur l'origine de ce beau bazar...
