Timmy McTear and the Excursion to Horizon Base: The 1st Novel of the Space Force

Timmy McTear and the Excursion to Horizon Base: The 1st Novel of the Space Force

Julien Day
0/5 ( ratings)
TIMMY MCTEAR AND THE EXCURSION TO HORIZON BASE is a fast-paced, near-future military science fiction tale of adventure and mystery for young adult readers that incorporates elements of space science and engineering, the military sub-culture, and geopolitical allegory. Poised on the edge of expansion across the solar system, humanity looks toward a hostile alien race as the source of a deadly disease outbreak when it should be looking at itself. To stop the outbreak and avoid both interplanetary and intra-planetary war, Tim and Marial, two Space Force cadets, must discover the truths that have long remained hidden behind intrigue and power. Unbeknownst to Tim and Marial, the bacterial-based computing system on the Space Station Pacific has left twenty-four dead, communications among the outer stations severed, and the senior leaders of the U.S. Space Force wondering who is responsible. When the cadets receive orders to proceed toward the lunar outpost at Horizon Base, they begin to expect that something is amiss, but their veteran pilot Paul remains curiously quiet about the change of plans. As they travel across the inner solar system, Tim and Marial begin to unravel the machinations of a Machiavellian Space Marshall and of the two mysterious figures who seem to be following them, seeing for the first time the lies and half-truths that surround them. Not even Paul or their new friend Dana, leader of a clandestine spy ring of vigilante senior citizens, seem to know that the advanced guard of an enemy army is responsible for starting the outbreak, for stealing the bodies after they arrive at Horizon Base, and for constructing the secret military garrison within the bowels of the moon.
