It starts at the mouth and finishes when Matthew has a pee! It’s Matthew's birthday. After having a big glass of Josie Juice, he goes sledging with his friends as a special Birthday treat. Whilst sledging, what happens to Josie Juice? As the she travels around Matthew’s body she meets lots of characters like Brucey Blood and the kidneys. She also learns how our bodies use the fluids we drink to keep us healthy, and how it gets rid of all the things we don’t need. Josie Juice and Matthew is part of The Busy Body children's book series by Heather Hawley, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Heather wrote the books to help children learn about the human body, and have some fun along the way! The books were written with input from the educational sector. Each book contains a diagram of the body, a glossary of words and a word search. If you’re an infant or primary school teacher, the books are suitable for Key Stages 1 and 2. All the books have kindly been reviewed and endorsed by Dr Sarah Bridges, a UK Consultant Paediatrician.
