First of all, I love supporting my favorite narrators as they do some writing as well as narrating. Bravo Erin Mallon! These short stories are both witty & funny. Hearing the mans perspective on these topics is pure gold! And let’s not forget about the amazing narrators! Excellent performance by all.
Six tales that'll make you laughOh Erin Mallon, you gave me the best way to put a smile on my face. THE BROMANTIC COMEDIES consists of six audio tales designed to give you some fun. The audio plays were only enhanced by some exceptionally talented narrators, joe Arden, Shane East, Jason Clarke, Lance Greenfield, PJ Ochlan and Teddy Hamilton. The pairing of these amazing narrators and the characters they play was sheer perfection. The wit, sarcasm, comedic timing of Ms Mallon's writing and the way...
🎧 Audio Review 🎧Erin Mallon does it again! She has turned me into a huge fan of Audio Plays! This Audio Play has 6 short 10 minute stories and they are all so unique, funny and so witty. Each Play is completely different and each one has it's own eye opening meaning layered underneath all the comedy and outrageousness. I enjoyed them all so much but I have to say Domesticated was probably my favorite because I laughed so much but when it was over I felt like I got it completely. I will be listen...
Note: I received an advance audio in exchange for an honest review. What a brilliant play of audio starring performances of Joe Arden, Shane East, Teddy Hamilton, PJ Ochlan, Lance Greenfield and Jason Clarke. I loved every single audio clip, and the advice doled out: fatherhood, confidence needed as a man, handling women products as a guy, surviving through a tough time, trying not to please everyone even as a pet, following your dreams even if they seem strange to everyone else.I can't wait to
The Bromantic Comedies is a great collection of plays written by Erin Mallon and narrated by some much loved narrators, Joe Arden, Jason Clarke, Shane East, Lance Greenfield, Teddy Hamilton, PJ Ochlan. All of the stories feature their perspective on things like fatherhood, advice and my favorite the classic i-jacker who only likes to talk about themself.Invasion at Man Camp, Domesticated, Baby Fight Club, Check Out, Good Working For You and Thick Gnat Hands are filled with plenty of laugh out lou...
I listened to the audiobook of this and it had me laughing so hard I think I cried at one point. It has some very short scenes but the cast of narrators and the crazy scenarios is exactly what I needed.
I love Erin Mallon’s plays and this was no exception All the narrators did an amazing job and I had plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. My favorite of the bunch was BABY FIGHT CLUB and Teddy Hamilton’s performance in this one was the best for me too. Runner-up was DOMESTICATION. But in all honesty I liked all six plays a lot. It was a nice sidestep from my romance listening and (eye-ball) reading
So I’ve come to be a huge fan of Erin Mallon’s writing. Ever since Flirtasaurus last year, I’ve been grabbing at any and everything that she writes. But let me tell you, this was way crazy, so much different in a way from what I expected! It was craziness! It was a very short listen, so even though I got it later than planned, I was able to get it listened to by the time I’d planned to post this. Let me give you a short little review of each of the stories. The first story, Invasion at Man Camp,
Deep Thoughts with a Comedic TwistWhat I'm discovering about each new Erin Mallon play is the depth of character and issues she brings to each play, making me want to go back to revisit previous works to see what I missed. The Bromantic Comedies is no different as I have listened to this set of plays now 3 times before writing this review. I just knew there was more to be knowledge to be gathered from the voices which Erin is giving us all a schooling. The best correlation I can find to the mast...
(audiobook) The author has a talent for imagining unique situations and writing witty and funny dialogues, and when she casts the perfect narrator for each character on top of that, the result is this book, a collection of short plays that explore relationships between men.The narrators, in duet style, connect on another level to bring life to characters we barely glanced at–as soon as we start to understand who they are, the play ends. Between laughs, they pull on our heartstrings with some bit...
*Audiobook Review*These stories are fantastic. Every time I am reading/listening to a book/play by Erin Mallon I am falling more in love with her writing. Erin certainly got us through all the emotions with those 6 short plays. They seriously had me snort-laugh at one moment and getting choked up with emotions the other.Erin is a genius for putting all these stories into plays. Some of these topics are not likely an open discussion point, especially for men but all of them make you think and the...
Erin Mallon is such an amazing playwright. I love her plays. They always bring more than you expect. Take these six short plays for example. You expect them to be funny and entertaining, and make no mistake, they are. But they are also thought-provoking, and at times, emotional. We tend to have such singular views on what masculinity is and these plays give us chance to not only view it differently but actually think about how we view it and why. And how we can view it differently. Performed by
Okay we definitely need to talk about chapters DOMESTICATED and THICK GNAT HANDS but honestly I loved the whole thing from beginning to end!So so much fun! Thank you Erin for making us laugh during these weird times! Definitely needed that! 😃🙏🏻😍Awesome performance by all the narrators!! 👏🏻👏🏻🤩🤩If anyone's looking for me, I'm relistening to These Walls Can Talk now ❤️
Thank you to Erin Mallon and Social Butterfly PR for sending me an advance copy of this audio to review! These audio plays do live up to the title; in The Bromantic Comedies, listeners get guys hanging out, chatting, making fun of each other, or getting into some deep topics, and each chapter is both bromantic and comedic! In addition, it hits the “masculine” nail in the head. Lots of profanity, jokes about genitalia, and innuendos - exactly how I imagine entirely male conversations to go. The na...
How did such short plays give me so many feels? Wow. This set of shorts was funny, sad, thought provoking and just overall amazing. I was left wanting to know more about these characters. I want to see their next move. All six narrators were amazing. They all played two very different characters and they did then flawlessly. I am a huge fan of all these men, but I have to single out Lance Greenfield for my MVP. He blew me away. Erin Mallon has one again delivered fantastic material and gave it t...
I absolutely loved this group of 6 audio plays. My favorites are Domesticated and Baby Fight Club. That might change when I relisten to this (over and over). This is a perfect length for a commute or any time. These 6 guys are so talented! Erin wrote such great stories that grabbed my attention.I laughed. I was hooked. The stories are short but are complete audio plays. I was a little shocked since Erin wrote some great, realistic dialog for the guys. So original and full of sass and heart. I'm c...
Oh my word, these audio plays are amazingly fun and funny but also witty but oddly they makes you think deeper thoughts too. It really is interested. Each one of the stories is interesting in their own way. I enjoyed them all in their own way but I loved Domesticated, Baby Fight Club the absolute most they made me laugh to the point of tears. The ones that made me think the most were Invasion at Man Camp, Good Working with Hands and Check Out. Though there were funny points these also made me th...
What can I say besides I think I fall in love with Erin Mallon as an author a little bit more every time she releases something new? Her plays are full of wit, a bit of snark, a lot of humor, and they are so unique. This collection of 6 short plays, ranging from about 10-20 minutes each, is such a delight, especially if you have a bit of a subversive sense of humor. Starting from the first few lines of Invasion at Man Camp, through the last lines of Thick Gnat Hands, you'll be listening and wond...
The Bromantic Comedies are six short ten minute plays for the fellas! Erin has written another fun, witty, and sincere group of audio plays! Each play presents a different real life situation that many men and women can relate to in their own lives. Erin makes light and has tons of fun with these various situations, but then brings us back (in some cases) to a bittersweet reality. The entire cast was phenomenal. Getting to hear all of these guys perform comedy was refreshing and showed how versa...
I have been staring at my screen for a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how to review the perfection that is The Bromantic Comedies. We can start with the obvious, It's funny. Like really funny, like snort laughing while I drove down the 101 funny. Seriously if I lived in a less self absorbed city, I would be worried that people on the freeway were judging me. It is also expertly cast and narrated. Erin Mallon paired her actors perfectly for these duet vignettes, they play off each other so
