The Duke Before Christmas (The Duke Hunters Club, #4)

The Duke Before Christmas (The Duke Hunters Club, #4)

Bianca Blythe
0/5 ( ratings)
She accidentally proposed to a duke... then he accepted.
Portia is furious when a man sneaks onto a ship, claiming to be Mr. Rupert Andrews. She's supposed to elope in Guernsey, and now her betrothed, the true Rupert Andrews, is stranded in London. Not that Portia was attached to her betrothed: this was purely a business match. If she doesn't marry by Christmas, she'll lose her inheritance. Portia does the only natural thing: she insists this stranger marry her.

Colin, the Duke of Brightling, wasn't supposed to board the ship. He much prefers London. But Colin was being chased, and when the porter asks if his name is Mr. Rupert Andrews, he quickly lies and says yes. He doesn't expect to find an angry woman on the ship, and he certainly doesn't expect a proposal.

Still, there's something appealing about her, and he can't abide the thought of ruining her life. Surely, there are worse things than agreeing to marry her. After a decade of being chased by matchmaking mamas and simpering debutantes, it's a relief to find someone who doesn't even know he's wealthy and titled.

Then the chaos begins.
