An English Woman in Utah with Corresponding Clippings from Newspapers Across the Country

Fanny Stenhouse
0/5 ( ratings)
Compiling News Clippings From the Past books I found several articles and advertisements for Mrs. Stenhouse lectures. Thinking the name familiar I went to the books that once belonged to my great Uncle Milo. In these pages you will see the book with only a few changes or notes such as spelling of locations. Added are news clippings that announce her lectures, news of her and her family that continue well after her death. I was not able to find much information on the polygamy wives in the news which is not surprising as it was considered illegal with families being divided and prosecutions. The autobiography of Mrs. T.B.H. Stenhouse of her life; conversion to Mormonism; Missionary service; immigrating to Salt Lake City, Utah; polygamy in their family; leaving the church with additional chapters on the Mountain Meadow Massacre and other topics from early Mormonism.
