Two enjoyable queer fantasy stories! I'd've liked both of them to be a little longer--they were a little too short for me to sink my teeth into them--but I liked them.

Rep: lesbian mc and side character
So far I only read:-- Forgive Me, My Love, for the Ice and the Sea by C.L. Clark, narrated by Stephanie Malia Morris- DNFWow what a title but it became a DNF for me. Mostly outside my reading preference but I was also confused and not engaged enough to hang in there. The story is told in first person. Our MC is a female pirate assigned to kill the female captain. (not spoilers it's in the beginning) But there is a lot going on with our MC, the captain, mythology/goddesses, they all have a whole
To quote someone else in the book club I read this for "I am 100% here for lesbian pirates 100% of the time." Look. Lesbian swashbuckling pirates. It's everything you could want. Read it in a storm with a cup of peppermint tea somewhere you can smell a sea breeze and enjoy the ride.
