I really do adore May Dawson, her stories are always jam-packed with brilliant stories, sassy female main characters, and hot to boot men and this was no exception. The prologue finds us in a forest with the main female character, five years before the story fully begins, she remembers nothing about herself and all she has is a note reading:Your name is Alise. You don't have friends. Don't trust anyone who claims to be one. You're quite good with a sword. She is found by a group of Hunters and th...
In this book we’re introduced to Alisa, a no-nonsense, strong , and sassy woman. She’s been dumped into the human world with no memory of who she is or what she does. There is a small note telling her to not to trust anyone but also that she’s good with a sword. Jump forward in time when 3 mysterious men find her. 5 years into the future Alisa finally gets some of the answers she’s been searching for. This is a slow, sweet burn romance. It is made even sweeter since you can see the characters cha...
Another book where I wished things had gone differently. The heroine has amnesia, shes tried to find clues to what and who she is to no avail. The heroes find her and tell her they know who she is and she has to come with them to faere and they will let her know who she is.The heroine is rightly wary, from what the heroes told her someone deliberately took her memory , why would she go to the same place when she can just stay on earth. The heroes insist she has to come to Faere because she is a Pr...
4/5 starsWhat a fantastic start to an epic series! I love the plot that May Dawson had come up with. It’s brilliantly executed and the world-building is phenomenal. The main character, Alisa, is the missing summer fae princess. All her memories have been wiped and she doesn’t know anything about her past except for her name. Alisa has been living in the human world for five years. She is a hunter who hunts and kills monsters in the human world. Immediately in the beginning of the book, we meet t...
Alisa, a fae who lost her memories, stranded on Earth (aka “the dirt side”), is struggling to reclaim her throne and righten the things she’s apparently done in the past, accompanied by 3 men, one of them her former lover. I loved this start of a new series, and I’m looking forward to reading more, even though I wasn’t completely invested in the story. The characters are complex, everyone seems to have an own agenda, and nobody is what he seems to be. It’s a slow burn, relatively tame RH, but I
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.Dawson has truly outdone herself this time!! This is the start to what is going to be an epic series. We meet Alisa as she wakes up with no clue who she is or where she came from with the exception of a note pinned to her with her name as well as the statement that no one is a friend. Flash forward five years and she has become an amazing monster hunter with some mad sword skills. Then three strange men
Really intense readEach page of this book pulls you in deep and leaves you with so many questions that you don't realise your at the end of the book. The main female Alisa is such a strong and well written character and the three hot fae men are amazing too. Each guy has their own hidden reason of how the act with Alisa. And with her twin brother frae holding secrets it leaves you with so many thoughts about what's happened in her past and who stole her memories and left her in the human world.
4.5 rounded up:Something evil is going down in the Summer Court and Alisa is wrapped up smack dab in the middle of it.... though she can't remember why, who or even what. From the opening scenes of the prologue to the final pages, this book slams into the action, dropping hints, throwing lines and leading the reader on a merry journey through the unknown world of the Hunters on Earth and the Fae in Faire. Things are dangerous, mysterious and rather convoluted - and it all centers around a girl w...
Loved the story! Alisa is an amazing MFC and her men are hot as can be, it has an amazing world building and twist and turns you have to love! It's action packed and beautifully written can't wait for book 2!! Another wonderful hit by May!
I really struggled to get to 82%... but... I have lots more books waiting for me to delve in... I like the writing style, but it just doesn't go anywhere really fast.(and I don't like giving low ratings.. so 2 stars for writing style)
I absolutely loved this! I loved the storyline, the characters and the world building is just incredible. Off to a great start our female mc is sassy, snarky and strong and her fae ‘jerks!’ Are hot, passionate and sexy. Full of action, danger and secrets this had me on the edge of my seat the whole read so much so that I was stunned when I reached the end! If you love a fantastic slow burn reverse harem then this is the series for you and I just cannot wait to read the next book!

Interesting blurb and start of a new series. The hot & cold attitude of the FMC (I hate you, I love you, I trust you, I don't, etc) didn't endear me to her.
Am I judging this book harshly because I just finished reading an amazing book and it didn’t measure up? Probably. Am I still going to finish reading the series because mama didn’t raise a quitter? Also yes. Complaints:- Grammar. Honestly I’m not one to really complain too much about the random missing punctuation or word misspelling because my brain generally fixes it and I don’t even notice it. So when it’s glaringly obvious to me that there’s many mistakes, it’s above average. Even some wordi...
