In March 2020, the UK was plunged into lockdown. Author Marina Benjamin set up a blog called Garden Among Fires in response. She invited writers around around the world to contribute prose, essays, poems and responses to how their lives had changed during the pandemic.
The result is Garden Among Fires - an anthology of over 40 pieces by writers such as Amy Liptrot, Katherine May, Rishi Dastidar, Julia Bell, Noga Arikha, Samantha Ellis, James Cook and Monique Roffey. They capture life under lockdown in India, Australia, France, Sweden, Italy, Germany, and the UK. They are moving, inspirational and insightful and explore how dramatically our lives have changed.
