Couldn't put this one down...by and1515Bethany's life wasn't exactly how she envisioned it but hey things happen and at least she still had her wonderful parents and of course there was her little girl. Then all of a sudden her world took another turn an wow of wow did she score big time. Now only if she'll allow herself to have it all or will she run from the gift fate has for her or accept it?But now there's something brewing on the horizon that could ruin everything or will the two of them surv...
Overwhelmingly ClaustrophobicWhen you love your family but you don't Believe you can breathe sometimes that togetherness can be a little too much. Maddox came to understand he's dragon nature later in life.It made a difference from knowing from birth to your 1st shift that this was going to happen he loves his extended family but Private Time to be alone is not enough.Bethany Is a single mother raising a child In Black Claw. She has not been ready to date since her daughter has been born. Meetin...
I liked itI like this series but I have o many questions about the timeline. When he met Bethany in the previous book, Maddox was still in school and Hailey was 11. In this book, Maddox fnishd his bachelor's degree, was working as a deputy and was ready to go to law school. Hailey was 13. What happened between Maddox and Bethany ib those two years? Supposedly the pull between mates is so strong that it is hard to resist yet two years passed without them actually meeting formally. I noticed this
EhhhOkay, let me start by saying I love the series but this one was a little icky for me. First, I read the series in basically a day so just 24 hours ago, Maddox was a 17 year old kid to me & although 5 years had passed in the books, it was odd to have him be a grown man & read about what he did to Bethany. But my issue was with Bethany. I didn't like her. There was nothing in this book that made me change my mind from the beginning to the end that she was just not a good character. I didn't li...
I’m having a tough time deciding on my rating. I absolutely loved this series, and for the most part, I enjoyed this book. The thing that is holding me back from a 4 star rating is that I hated the main female character, Bethany. Plain and simple, she’s a bitch. I didn’t find her to be independent and strong, which is what I think the author was going for. I honestly found no redeeming qualities in her and I nearly gave up finishing the book on a few occasions. I can’t for the life of me see why...
Roxie Ray has written a number of dragon shifter romance stories centered around the fictional town of Black Claw, Colorado. Her Dragon Destiny tells the story of Bethany, a single mom with a three-year-old daughter, and Maddox Kingston, a dragon shifter from a family of dragon shifters. If you’ve ever read any of Ms. Ray’s other dragon shifter stories, you’ll be familiar with them, but this is a stand-alone romance and it’s not necessary that you read them to enjoy this story.Maddox has been ac...
Maddox is all grown up and has met his fated mate - Highly recommend!Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence. This story is part of the Black Claw series. While this could be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arcs....
With each new book in this series, I find myself falling more in love with this amazing Kingston family. I’m fully immersed in their journey of discovering their fated mates and enjoy the balance of romance, action and suspense. The author creates just an overall genuine, down-to-earth feel to this charming world of dragon shifters. Maddox and Bethany’s story is no exception. As with every couple, they’ve had to overcome a rocky start, but Maddox and Bethany get over that hurdle quickly as Maddo...
Extremely DifficultUnfortunately, this story was ruined. I can't recommend it. Maddox was a phenomenal hero. Bethany was an extreme disappointment. I read a lot and I have to be truthful in that she is the worst female character I have ever seen. What Maddox went through with her was so very, very, very sad. Not only did he and his dragon, Artemis, suffer, but so did his family because of Bethany! This is the second heroine I have hated in my lifetime. I was really hoping Maddox would meet someo...
Sometimes it's best to get out of your own head. Kyle was Bethany's best friend. He helped her start a business flipping houses with the inheritence from her grandparents. They had a drunken night and Tiffiny was conceived. Beth wanted to stay friends, Kyle wanted to get married. He stormed out after a fight and got into a car accident. Maddox was a part time cop inyrnfinh to attend law school. He got an acceptance from a local college and one in CA. He wanted to leave the nosy family and friend...
Another good bookThis story is about Maddox and Bethany, a single mom working to make a good life for her daughter. Things between them don't start out well, but end up starting to change for the better. There are other issues that come up, but I don't want to say too much. The chemistry between them is great and I enjoyed it. The one thing I didn't like was the inconsistencies that were in the book. The last book in this series had Maddox's eleven year old sister meeting Bethany's three year ol...
This book is creepy. It's about an older woman, Bethany (with a 3 year old child), who is in a relationship with a boy, Maddox, in high school whose biggest concern is which college he’ll be attending as a pre-Law student. The relationship between these two characters alone is untenable. And as I said, creepy. He's immature, and he should be: he's a teenager. If that isn't enough, and actually it is, the book is badly written using terrible grammar in awkward sentences. The writer keeps pushing
I loved Bethany’s and Maddox’s story. Bethany is a single mum she flips houses out for a living, her first and only date since her daughter was born was a disaster Bethany was sitting with her date in a restaurant when Maddox Kingston came in and scared her date away and Bethany hadn’t heard from him since. Maddox is a dragon shifter he deliberately went into the restaurant to scare Bethany’s date away she is his mate but he doesn’t know if he’s ready to claim Bethany he doesn’t even know wether...
I wanted to try out a new author in the paranormal romances that I like so I chose this one by Roxie Ray in Booksprout. I enjoyed reading the story about Bethany, a single mom with a three-year-old daughter: Tiffany, who flips homes and owns rentals, and Maddox, dragon shifter/lawyer, who was considering moving to California and leaving Black Claw. Maddox knows Bethany is his mate but when he comes anywhere near her, he puts his foot in his mouth, can he win her heart? I liked that the dragon in...

Still loving this series, and it’s Maddox’s turn, the baby of the Kingston dragons finally finds his mate when he meets Bethany, a friend of Abby. This story has a rough start, along with their relationship but slowly things turn but will Bethany be able to accept Maddox and his secret. Great story, plot and the characters, some grammatical errors but nothing to take away from the story. Loads of angst, and some stressful moments, but lots of sweet moments, loving moments and of course I love th...
