Worth the Wait I started the first book back when I was on a LITRPG book buying spree and Enemy of the World was swept up with a whole host of others. It stood out among some good and some unreadable, and i would check kindle at first once a day then once a week then once a month etc. when just the other day as I was checking on another “show all 50 items” tab on my app, two years down the track, book two appears. It was worth the wait, you can tell the whole book has been gone over several time...
Much better than the first book. The OP MC becomes more of a three dimensional person and probably the translation also improves. The story keeps being amazing as the world fleshes out. Did I say flesh? The amount of dead bodies in this series is crazy, no wonder they need to summon beings from another world. If you have a weak stomach or a vivid imagination don't read it.
An excellent addition to the series This book is sick, highly recommend and tons of thanks to the people who helped translate it. Continuation of the first book that follows its footsteps very closely. I still personally wish he had at least 1 friend, but I guess I'll have to settle for the magic book.
Great bookI have really enjoyed both books. While the hero is OP, he is often very real in his view of life and people.
Nicely DoneI enjoyed the way this author writes an OP character. It is not so focus on how OP the MC is but what is happening are them and the consequences of his actions. Also I love how the plot is actually progressing and not just spinning is wheels so it can have more books.
Well worth the wait!I re-read the first book as it has been a while, but unlike most series, the second book was just as awesome as the first. The translation was very well done. I understand that the third is being translated now! Road Warrior will stay on my list to check for the next book. Why did I enjoy this book? Further development of the Main Character! No more spoiling, read and enjoy for yourself.
Notes:I recommend that people read the first two books together. They make a complete arc that was satisfying to read. The writing + translation was better in #2. Need to decide if I want to continue the series on KU, Oppa Translations website or wait for the audiobook. =)
This book is better than the first one. In the first book, we don't know much about the world and so we don't know who to hate and who not to. There are more people to hate here, so the story is more enjoyable. A twisted sentiment, to be sure, but watching wicked people get their comeuppance is pretty much what I'm reading this book for. That and watching the protagonist's growth.Speaking of the protagonist, after reading so far, we start to see more of what makes the protagonist who he is as a
Fantastic story It is a good story with interesting twists and links to how the story and characters are connected. Powerful main character that feared but seems to be trying to help out.
Pretty good This story flowed a bit better than the first book and it's definitely interesting to see some of the MC reasons for why he is the way he is. All in all I'm looking to reading the next book in this series
About timeWe had to wait for forever for this book and now it's finally here, and now I can't wait for the next book, hopefully I don't have to wait as long.
Amazing BookI don't know why but I love book series with an overwhelming op main character but not only that, but when the story and the plot is just unmatched to go along. It's a fast pace book but doesn't skip out on to many details, just enough to keep really invested and full of curiosity. LOVE IT
The audaciousness from the first book continues. Its refreshing to see a no-nonsense protagonist with a grey moral compass. The only complaint I have is the inconsistent pacing of the book. It is sometimes too fast, and sometimes slows down to normal levels. A smoother flow would really make reading a better experience in my opinion, even if it might slightly slow the overall pace of the book. I think the story here is good enough that readers won't mind a slower pace, with the benefit of being
Fantastic Love this series. I was getting real sick of other “dark” stories that were just about terrible umm... non-consensual things that happen to all the characters. Even though the main character is super OP the side characters are interesting enough to hold your attention.
Interesting Overall this was a good book, second in the series and better than the first. They really need to invest in better translators, or once the book reaches the point it is now have an individual whose first language is English polish it up. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
FinallyI have been waiting for this. This was such a fun read. I would recommend it if you are a fan of OP heroes and LitRPG.
Hell yeahThis book is one of the greatest books I’ve ever read, no joke. The plot is well developed, the characters are just awesome, and the main character is the perfect amount of power. The greatest thing about it is that it completely sidestepped the lewd aspects of these kinds of books, and for that the author has done a remarkable job at.
Book twoMistakes: Very well translated. However I feel the author didn't pay attention to his own writings. Information changes from page to page. Details don't fit information given.Plot: I'm stupidly strong and have a hammerCharacters: Unlikable MC. If he had to struggle he might have been interesting.2/10 book just wasn't for me
I really enjoy the protagonist walking around slapping everything into submission, but dear lord does he cook some nastiness... well it's more that some of the ingredients, and the description of blood (among other things) bursting / melting in your mouth as delicious is nasty.I can't knock another Culture's cuisine though. I guess I have an "English palate", according to the protagonist. This was a fun read. The protagonist is like Sisyphus pushing a boulder up a cliff. He accomplishes a goal an...
I should have known better than to continue this series considering that the first book was only just decent enough to avoid being called a waste of time. Unfortunately, I didn't have any other books I was in the mood to read at the time and I checked this out.Whatever bit of glamour the first book had faded and it left me with flat characters, passive and unenthusiastic translated prose, and a story that spends a lot of time on side quests without ever really going anywhere that matters. The po...
