Favourites: Common Grounds and Various Teas (love the theme of continuing to tell stories in order to stave off obliteration), The God of Roadside Memorials (ahh the wordless beauty of these panels and the story), Words (omg these bug-aliens are adorable and wonderful), I Remember the Flowers from June (cried), Cursed Uncle Teoscar (much-needed humour!! and the dark humour is great), and Black, White and Walks with the Night (the colours, story, themes, wow).

What a lovely anthology! I really enjoy being exposed to multiple writers and artists, some of whom were repeat contributors from the amazing Shout Out anthology by TO Comix. While I liked all the stories (and the myriad messages they conveyed about family in all its wonderful, sad, melancholic, difficult, quirky, and bizarre ways), there were a few that I really loved:- Forked- Grain Mother- Uubato- Demon from the Dusk Dimension- Black, White, and Walks with the Night
Another brilliant comic anthology from TO Comix Press. Wayward Kindred is about families, and it explores universal themes (grief, coming out, staying in touch with siblings when in school abroad, having a party where your fancy boarding school friends are going to meet your childhood neighbourhood friends) through a supernatural theme.I liked all the stories from the anthology, because they all had something unique to bring to the table. Some of them were happy and warm, others were funny, and
I don't know how TO Comix Press can keep putting out anthologies that are so front-to-back fantastic. I love how different every story was, both in terms of plot and art style. This is one of the higher quality anthologies I've ever read.
A good collection of indie comics! I liked almost all of them. Diverse art styles and stories covering a wide range of "monsters" from authors of all gender identities. Would definitely recommend.
I really enjoyed this comic anthology and I’m happy that I could help kickstart it. Like any anthology, some of the stories were stronger than others. The standouts for me were Grounded, Ill Will, Words, and Black, White, and Walks with the Night. I found the way the last story addressed code-switching to be especially moving. This was a wonderfully inclusive anthology! I’ll be looking to buy other anthologies from TO Comix.
Legends, lore, mythology, and more, all wrapped up with some family themes and drama. This is a great collection of comics - enjoyable to read and gorgeous to look at!
TO Comix does it again!! This was such a delightful anthology and it brought me so much joy :) My ultimate faves from this were:-Forked-Uubato-Demon from the Dusk Dimension I really wish Wayward Sister was still in print because I would gobble that up in a heartbeat. In the meantime very happy I bought this so I can revisit it!! ps.
