Practical Application!Loved the simple articulation. While a lot of the ideas are basic, this book makes a difference as it let's the reader think structurally and use the ones that can be applied to their life !
Authentic freedom comes at a steep price. Darius Foroux goes through each roadblock in detail: Certainty, comfort, lies, incompatible people, fearing money, mindless entertainment, anger and resentment, expectations, debt, unwanted help, defending ideas, and forced happiness. There are many hurdles, but it is crucial to have a concrete and tangible long-term goal to aspire for, as well as the financial capacity to tide over the difficult times. This is a handbook that gets you from merely planni...
You can be Free or Unfree. Choice is yours! This book gives the reader a chance to introspect thoroughly. Yes, certain points mentioned in this book hit us harshly, we might react immediately saying that they are wrong.Stop! Open mindedness is the need of the hour, if we certainly want to lead a free life.Highly recommend book for those who are ready to accept what not to accept.
Every action has a consequence, every human act comes with a price & so is Freedom & its not cheap because freedom is the accomplishment & perfect nature of man. Real good insights in this book. A must read 👌 👏
A no crap self-help book, a true guide. Most of the self help books are excessively focused on positive thinking , affirmations etc., to the point of becoming delusional. In this book, the author talks about real life situations, real thoughts and ‘what it takes to be free’.
Generic but good life advice. Instead of sitting down to read for a few hours, it can be finished in half an hour if you just read the titles, first few lines of every paragraph and the sentences in bold. None of the main points of the chapters will be lost.
Darius! Oh Darius! You have expressed it so well! To be free we need to realise that we are actually trapped in our self created prison. Thanks for such a wonderful expression of your views
Well, I have come to become a huge fan of Darius and his works which includes his books, articles, blogs and illustrations. But this book seemed to keep dragging a bit in the middle. That’s again my opinion but do read it yourself before coming to a conclusion.
Darius is one of my favourite writers. I've been following his articles for a lot of time before I came across a book, authored by him. I am content that I read this book. It's a great compilation of powerful principles that will make you a better and stronger person.
This book is depicted the meaning of free life in specific ways. Language is quite natural to understand.
I recently read Darius Foroux's book "Do It Today" and loved it. So, I gave this book a try next. I enjoyed reading this book and couldn't put it down easily. The Part III was really helpful with small exercises about identifying core values and setting goals. The author talks about gaining freedom without forcing it on the reader, and I liked that aspect of the book. However, he also contradicted himself when he wrote about working from a place a comfort in 'Do It Today' and relinquishing comfo...
Book #90 Completed: What it takes to be Free – Darius Foroux #myread4change #read2lead #read4life #books #Freedom #selfhelpbook #whatittakestobefree“Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility.” – Sigmund FreudThe word freedom has been used everywhere and yet if you ponder over what it means to you, you will be amazed at the vacuum we feel inside. And so we avoid this question by getting busy being busy.Darius
Contemplative. In today's hasty and tearing world, we all wanted to be free. Freedom is to do what you want and to be what you are. But Is it easy to get free?... Well it's not easy but possible to achieve. All you need is discipline and commitment to be free. The author summarised his own theory of freedom and how he has achieved it. Though it's not happens instantly, but we need to keep going with patience. The book is well divided into 3 parts, having short chapters. First part deals with Awar...

Give up control on things who don't matter and instead focus on putting to practice measures that will help you 8n years to come.
