After a really long week I was skimming through my Kindle for something to read. I needed something that was more than brain candy, but also not too intense, and Magic Forged hit that nicely. I love urban fantasy and this offering hits the right spots for me. Quirky, fiesty heroine and a dark broody (but with a sense of humor) hero, figuring out how to get along because of plot things that throw them together. I was reminded several times of the Chicagoland series, and (for the most part) this h...
Yai, this book looks pretty amazing and thanks to Bhavya for the rec!! <3
Another one I liked. It's always fun when the dark brooding hero gets the girl. I'll admit Hazel was a bit annoying at first but I can't fault her in that, her house was made up of pacifists, some real 'turn the other cheek' kind of people and it took the help of Killian and the vampires to break her out of that habit. The romance was really sloooow. I say that after reading the entire series and seeing which book they actually kissed. It reminds me of the book I like to call "Six books for a Kis...
Originally posted at: My Rating: 4 and a half starsThis. Book. Is. SO. Good! Someone I interact with on Goodreads highly recommended this book (I'm SO sorry but I don't remember who it was!) and I am so deeply sorry that it took me months to finally get to this. Though it wasn't without its hiccups. I actually started and stopped this 3 times before finally getting into it. My initial issue was with how slow it starts off. After Chapter 2 I was hooked and couldn't put it down!Hazel was a very...
Collective review on the last book! :)4 stars!
This was really fun! Thanku Bhavya fr the rec. It was so much fun to BR with u❤️--------------------------Since I've been threatened by someone👀 I'm reading this soon yayyy
3 starsHazel is a cool heroine, and I did like the mystery behind the events in this book. But even though the story was interesting, it somehow fell flat. The main reason would be Killian. For the most part he was an unlikable hero, who'd somehow managed to make the read dull.
Rounding this up to 5 stars because I devoured it and I've been in a rounding up mood for rating books lately.Cute, fun, fast read. I already know this author and enjoy her books so I was excited when she announced a new trilogy. It's an urban fiction book. This author writes clean, fantasy romance with a lot of fairy tale retellings. She did a good job with the Urban Fiction. This story is not for people who like a lot of world building. For me it strikes a good balance because I often get bored...
This was a fun quick read- on KU for free!I had a good time reading about the world building and magical creatures. (witches, vamps, fae, and werewolves!)I also like Hazel as a character for the most part, and even though the romantic lead is a bit of a jerk here and there I'm seeing potential for some steamy romance. However, The only thing I wish was that the h stuck up for herself more with the other vampires- hopefully in the next book? I'm guessing its to eventually show Hazel's transformat...
Bad me, I didn't write a review after my original read. But I'm rereading now (Jan 2021) because I just finished Leila's series and wanted to revisit this one to spend a little more time in this world.I think I didn't review the first time because I was tentative. To be honest, there were things in the first 50% that made me crazy, and I thought Hazel occasionally strayed into TSTL because she'd totally miss the obvious. BUT... the back half of the book totally knocked it out of the park, so I g...
