This one just wasn't my cup of tea. The art and colouring were fine but the story was boring and the characters were flat. I didn't care about the main character or have any interest in the stories of the ghosts.
*Thank you to Boom! Studios and Netgalley for the advanced copy* Fist and foremost, the art was fantastic. The overall story was really enjoyable. There was some moments of just having to accept that things were the way they were without too much explanation, but I realize this is meant to get everyone introduced and moved towards the inciting incident without lingering too much on set up.As far as some of the reviews that find the MC unlikable and unbelievable - I remember being college age and...
How fun! I absolutely adore this concept--a young freshman encountering real life problems far, far away from anything she's ever known and finding ghosts in the middle of it all? It has my name written all over it. Besides, with those gold and rose-tinted color hues juxtaposed against the chilly blues of the ghosts, the color palette hits just right given the setting and current problem set. It's fun, poppy, and all too relatable, making this not only a great set-up for an oncoming series, bu...
The artwork is phenomenal! I really loved every frame. Unfortunately, the main character is obnoxious and unlikeable. She's petty, flighty, and unbelievably naïve. It's clear she's having an identity crisis, but her flippant attitude kept me from caring about her problems. She's also a sucky friend, childish, and way to willing to move in with ghosts she knows nothing about. Hard pass.Blog | Instagram | Twitter | Bloglovin' | Amazon | Pinterest
Received an e-arc of this from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book whatsoever This was so fun to read!I loved the art style and the story line was so cool!I can't wait to read more from this series!
Hilarious! Amazing and so much fun.Really loved the art style and the story too. It was different and took me back to my comic days! I could totally relate with the main character and I am glad that the author didn't shy away from making her flawed with all her naiveness, indecisiveness and with an abundance of spontaneity! Looking forward to the series.
"Somebody please help me, there are ghosts everywhere! I'll hide here...""Why do people act like wall will protect them?"I adored both the concept and the artwork, but I immediately disliked the main character. She's obnoxious, annoying, petty. I'm hoping her character development focuses on that in the next issues, which I can't wait to read!
Pretty basic beginning, tbh. I’ve noticed a fair amount of poor ratings for this, but I really don’t have a negative opinion so far. Issue # 1 in the series helped set up the premise fairly well. The art, however, is absolutely phenomenal!
Good first in the series set up. Has me intrigued to read more.
Rating: 4 Stars ★★★★ Ghosted In L.A. #1 is fun new comic series following Daphne who moves to LA to be with her boyfriend, but after a breakup, she's a bit unsure of what to do next. Then, when she finds an abandoned manor to clear her head, she realizes she's not alone, because its filled with ghosts! I've been meaning to start this series after buying issue #1 last year and thought it would be a perfect read for the fall/spooky season! Ghosted In LA issue 1 is just a lot of fun, entertaining,...

I liked the art and the story was fine but I'm not sure if I'll keep reading
I think I purchased this thinking it was volume 1 not issue 1, but either way I just think there wasn't enough introduction in this issue. As the first issue in a new series, I was expecting some more explanation of who our protagonist is instead of off-handed comments here and there that did not even come close to resembling a dynamic character. The plot moved very quickly in very few pages, and it just felt unrealistic (more unrealistic than the presence of ghosts in this comic) that the prota...
Excellent. For my full review, check out Volume 1: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
More of a 3.5 star rating;I like the variety of characters already shown in this first comic issue. I’m curious to see where this series goes.
Honestly, this is a relatable story for people stepping into college. In the beginning, it can be crappy but hopefully, at least for me, it got better. I also find it funny that the only nice people are the dead ones. I kind of find it funny as well that she immediately jumped at the chance to stay there to hang out with them because they were nice to her.
My Rating : 3.5The story revolves around Daphne who is has just shifted to LA to be close to her boyfriend who breaks off with her when she comes there. Also, her current roommate seems to hate her & she is overall having a terrible week. So when you have just moved into a new city & don't know much about it but randomly come across an abondened manor haunted by ghosts one day, you run away in the opposite direction (atleast that's what sane people would do) but no she decides to stay there as i...
Okaaay. Let's see what's gonna happen next. Tho I think the main character is a bit childish I'd like to see her grow in the next issues.
This was a disappointment. I really thought I was going to get a cute story about a girl moving to L.A. to later find a mansion with ghosts that become her roommates. I felt that the character was was pretty unlikeable in the sense that she was trying to be like the other girls. Then when she had moved to L.A., she was trying to find her friends for party to go but she goes to her boyfriend's house.which lead to them breaking up and the reason why. I felt that she was just inconsiderate and just...
I have no idea how to rate graphic novels since they're so short. I really liked this first installment!
