The dragons are gone. The embers of a once magical world slowly fade.
Garruth is a mercenary. And he is being hunted. A vindictive Baron somehow learns of the ancient sword which he carries on his back. So he knows the time has come to move on. But when the assassins start to appear, it’s too late. Now Garruth must decide if he can outrun his enemies before he might have to start killing his friends. Because the Sword of Vathir will not be taken from him, no matter the cost. He will keep it forever.
If he is truly lucky, he may even get to keep his head along with it.
