For this project you will need:

Hooks: two size crochet hooks, 5mm and 5.5mm  

Yarn: a skein of worsted weight yarn, 4ply for the US 10 ply for AU.

ch = Chain

sl st = Slip Stitch

st = Stitch

sk = Skip

beg = beginning

YO = Yarn Over

FPDC = Front Post Double Crochet

DC = Double Crochet
