This book, Honor Begets Honor, contains principles and experiences that have accumulated over the course of a lifetime. Prior to 1998 I appreciated the beauty of honor on display. I also possessed an internal awareness of the inherent damage created by dishonor practiced. In December of 1998, I found myself in my epic moment of shame and guilt as a result of the less than honorable lifestyle that I was living. In that very moment, I met a God that loved and honored me when I least deserved it. He deposited something of worth in me that rewired me from the inside out. I was experiencing the beauty that I had only observed until then, in its purest form. It has been the ongoing restorative principle and practice in my life, as well as in my ministry, for over twenty-one years and it never fails.
This book has been written over the last decade as I have learned the depth of this virtue in experience. Some have been positive lessons learned by keeping the principle active in me, and there are some hard lessons learned as a result of operating outside of this life-giving Truth. I am sharing this book with the hope of changing the mindset of honor only be given when it is earned.
When I am honored, I respond with honor. When I give my honor, I have planted a seed that is reciprocal. Honor, does indeed, beget honor.
