This was a Christmas present from my brother-in-law who lives in Minneapolis. I was looking forward to it, knowing nothing of Mr. Sally or the title character. Unfortunately, I'm missing something because the story and hijinks of this book were not my cup of tea. If it is as simple as a mouse and his friends who get drunk a lot, then I think I pass. If there is more going on, which I think there is, I couldn't make heads or tails out of it. The production of this volume, and the color process is...
A nicely done comic about a mouse, a dog, and an obnoxious duck who get very drunk together inside of a bar shaped like a baby. Lovely paperback printing with full color jacket. I hope I run across volume 2 someday!
New handmade collection that Sally recently published via his La Mano 21 house. Really nice work that I think looks better sized down from the Ignatz books. Colors look great. I Like the page/panel structures/layouts a lot. Visually appealing etc.
