Oooohhhhh, didn't see the Antari coming! Also, is he the crazy king in White London who turns all the people into statues?
Another fantastic comic!! I'm hooked on this series!
This artwork isn't my favorite, but I do want to reread Shades of Magic
And this is how a legend is born...
Fear is no excuse for tyranny. There's always a line between truth and legend.Maxim decides to walk away from the fourth trial but he gets sucked into it and finds an Antari magician inside who designed the trials disguised as one of the soldiers. Isra and two other loyal soldiers help Maxim and he comes out on the other side of the fourth trial successful in winning the soldiers' respect. That end was surprising.Night of knives comes to an end. There's still a few questions unanswered but I stil...
Hmm, I expected something grander that befitted how it's mentioned years later in the Conjuring of Light. When I imagined the defeat of the Pirate Queen and the Night of Knives, I pictured a long and bloody battle at night with lots of men led by Maxim fighting against a great foe. I anticipated carnage and gore. What I got underwhelmed me. Yes, I'm enjoying the novels, yes, I will read more, but I kinda wish it had a bit...more.I would love to see Amirah and Kell in future volumes.
Fantastic end to the arc and awesome to see the story behind the legend of the night of knives! "there's always a line between truth and Legend"SO GOOD. And our first glimpse at the other Londons and Antari WOOHOO
Got to say I wasn't super surprised by the twist but I did like it.
Urgh, it was so good.
Ughh, I don't like this Night of Knives #4. There other stories in this series were good.
I felt that this was a great conclusion to the second arc of the story, and I'm excited to see where the story goes from here.
The pacing was just off, the characters looked all the same, and it just wasn’t as good as the last issue.
Finally the last of the Night of Knives, it was great. Another legend fulfilled that was great to see Maxim's victory at the night of knives ( 4 cuts on his arm for it too) and to get to meet an Antari (like Kell) but evil (and a little mad), not super sure what he wants though he does not want to be owned.
Four nights, four knives! I'm a little proud and happy for him.But I noticed the same arrogance that he'll has got in the Shade of Magic trilogy, when he threat a Kell as an objet he own...
I just freaking love these comics. And this one was soooo good. That ENDING.
Okaaayyy Why Rowan wants to kill him?
Now, that was epic!!I remember when i finished SoM Trilogy, it left me with a big hangover that i just didn't want anymore of it, or else I'll remember what I've been through in the books. But for some reason, i decided that today i will be visiting the past with king Max and live his adventures!I don't regret my decision. 👀
Official Rating:5/5 stars 🌟
Totally didn't see that Rowan was an antari and had made the trials! And that got blood really fast!
Yes, yes, yes! Finally an Antari magician! Will he be the antagonist in the coming volumes!! The plot is getting interesting!!
