I have always find difficult to read books such as Meditations, of Marcus Aurelius. However, this books is a good introduction to an opinionated understanding of the thoughts from Stoics such as Seneca, M.A., and others.
Not a single day goes by that this book doesn't inspire meaningful reflection. Even when I disagree it has me asking why and looking for deeper connections. The journal is an outstanding companion to the book.
I couldn’t stand it. Not a great format for journaling, the prompts were meh, just not a great tool for advancing thought processes. It did, however, burn wonderfully in the wood stove, so kudos to the manufacturer for that.
This is not just a book of daily meditation but a functional one. Ryan's interpretation of the context is practical and will definitely keep the reader grounded and that is why I highly recommend this to be a part of one's daily reading and practice.
Man muss sich unbedingt ausreichend Zeit nehmen, um die Fragen im Tagebuch ausführlich zu beantworten.
