NostalgicNostalgic teen angst. A sort of prequel that sets up the alternate reality of earlier seasons. I wonder if this is a necessary thing.? Perhaps keep moving forward in time instead.
Stranger Things Season 3 is coming out this July 4 and what better way to get hyped up again than by immersing on its world! This graphic novel is a prequel and it gives us a peek to the Upside Down in a different character's perspective. Six can predict the future albeit her powers haven't fully developed yet. There's nothing much that happens in this issue but I'm still excited as to where this leads us!
As a parent this title touches upon a huge pet peeve of mine, parents using their child’s ability and talent for financial gain. Whether it’s pushing them into sports, having them go on a talk show like a dancing monkey, creating their own toy review site on YouTube, releasing their daughter’s sex tape to build a family dynasty (allegedly), or using their child’s precognitive powers to win the lotto, no matter what level of exploitation, exploitation is exploitation, and if there is a Hell I hop...
An interesting start to this story, but not much has happened so far. It's backstory mostly. With that said, I'm interested to read more and find out what's going to happen in this little comic expanding on the Stranger Things universe.
A brief introduction to the character of Francine aka Six. It's an okay issue. Has potential.
So there's another new Stranger Things series out there. This time it's a prequel, following a different test subject (Six, in case that wasn't obvious). There's a limit in how far they can push things, because of the timing. But it was still interesting, on the whole. Anybody curious about the other test subjects would probably appreciate this series.
Review is coming soon to The Convention Collective.
2.5/5 stars! since its just the first issue maybe it will get better! it was full of clichés and all. i will see how the next issues are ..IF there is more in this comic!
My nine year old went through these quick, I hope they make more because these are really good.
Interesting Not a lot happens in this first comic in the new series. Setting itself up for more of the upside down, which is intriguing from a different character perspective. Will be getting the next one.
This was way shorter than I wanted it to be and like issues to be, honestly. But if you liked Season 2 of the show, I think you'll like this series. We meet more past test subjects - primarily Six (obviously) and Three. Color me intrigued.
