A lovely story for children of all ages (from 2 to 92... as the saying goes)!It's all about the love of books, reading... praising imaginations and remembering what's truly important in life.
Very nice book. I´m thinking of buying some more copies and giving them as a gift to friends with children. Question now: would a boy want to read/hear a book with a girl in the title?
Sometimes we need to read something which is just cute as you can think of it as a bedtime story, this book is different from the other books of Elif Shafak , you read something simple , short, with a few characters . But I think the title wasn’t the best as the main motive for the events is her passion for reading not hating her name.
I don't think it was an accident, the universe threwing this at me after i just fininshed re-reading"the little prince". they share the same subject"how to keep ur inner child blooming" i like the fact that they both appeared at the same time i was begining to lose myself in the adult life. like it is a message from the universe that i should remember very well to keep consciously fighting against this. thanks universe!

I liked the book because it showed many real aspects of the real life we're living in. I thought, though, that some of the stories were just to "fill in the blanks." If we talk about seeing the full side of the glass, it was a beautiful story.
Beautiful, tender, sweet and brimming with hidden meanings and subtle wisdom. An excellent children's book. Like The Little Prince, it's a book you have to be either a child or very wise to understand.
