Interesting storyline and beautiful art but the overall presentation felt clunky.
I'm delighted that the series takes everything seen as "disgusting" or at least "not glamorous" about women (blood, old age, the ability to give life, ambition, etc.) and makes them the reasons they're powerful and feared. The "wolf mother" is everything women are forbidden to be, I can't wait for her to get her revenge!
Ok, this is much better! Loved this issue and cannot wait for the next one! I love the focus on blood and friendship and I loved the dialogue in this one.
