Clinically shy Holland Rose is date raped during her first year in art school. She endures this dark episode of her life and comes to work as a graphic artist in Lawrence Kansas. One night as she journeyed home from work young Holland is attacked again. But this time her assailant doesn’t rip at her jeans and panties, he craves the liquid that flows through her veins. An artery in her neck is nicked by her attacker’s sharp fingernails and he puts his disgusting lips over the wound. Before he could drain his victim, the thing on top of Holland is scared off by a passing policeman. But the damage is done, and another vampire is born.
At first Holland struggles with what has happened and the changes to her body. After several months she begins to understand what she has become and that she must drink the blood of humans to survive. She also realizes that with the thirst comes an almost insatiable desire for sex.
Not knowing what to do with her life, she loses herself in finding her next victim and anonymous sex with a new partner every night. That is until the night she was headed home, cutting through a park, and stumbled across a rape in progress. Her thoughts are forced back to the night she was raped in school and an anger wells inside. After killing the park rapists, Holland, with her vampire speed and strength, sees a chance to become vengeance for those women abused by men.
On the new purpose to her life, she meets two hundred year old, Brazilian beauty and vampire, Astrid Chavez. The two form an alliance, as well as becoming lovers, and begin to search for enslaved women who cannot help themselves. Their journey leads them to New York City and the MS 13 run sex slave brothels.
Jeff Holcomb is a few years out of high school and working at a dead-end job when he is recruited by an organization that has been hunting vampires for hundreds of years. After months of training he is given an area of responsibility to investigate and exterminate any and all blood drinkers, New York City.
Jeff is soon on the trail of the two women vampires who elude his efforts to exterminate them. Until one evening when he tracks them to an abandoned warehouse. The ensuing confrontation leaves Holland, Astrid, and Jeff with critical injuries. The vampires leave New York City to heal and assess their future. Believing that the vampire hunter that nearly killed them to be dead himself, they return to the Big Apple.
Jeff Holcomb does survive his injuries sustained at the warehouse but the trail of the two vampires he sought grows cold. A twist of fate pits Astrid squarely against Jeff with Holland stuck in the middle.
