Francesca Appichella
5/5 ( ratings)
Joe has been struggling with worries and intrusive thoughts about himself and others. There are so many things that he feels he needs to do to be safe that his mother suggests that they visit OCD school to look around. When Joe gets there he meets Dr Jones, who explains what OCD is and the many things that the school can do to help. Following his visit Joe starts to see his OCD very differently.

Written for children between the ages of 11 and 14, this book is a valuable introduction to OCD. Using a cognitive and behavioural model throughout, Drs Manning & Ridgeway externalize many of the problems associated with OCD via the use of imaginative illustrations.
