SQUEEE!!! I just read this book by a completely new-to-me author and IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! It was like pure old-school indie romance heaven! The hero is an ALPHA sheriff who is grouchy at times but also incredibly protective, possessive, and SWOOOOOONY! DNF @ 30% The hero is a total jerk to the heroine in the beginning, then decides his reason for disliking her is wrong so now he's going to act like a caveman. The heroine is all bluster, trying to stand up to the hero who was a complete jerk to her, but because he's sexy her hormones seems to excuse his behavior and she'll just fall at his feet *eye roll*.

I did not gel with this book on the whole in any shape or form. I wanted to like it, indeed until 25% I held hope that my issues would be worked through.
