It really is a relaxed and fun read!

Solid read with nice spins on standard teenage superhero tropes. I’m continuing to love the realistic feel of all the characters. For those who haven’t read this, there is a HUGE plot twist here which turns everything you thought you knew on its head, and what is even better about it is that it’s so unexpected.

I will never tire of the twist in this book. I’m amazed at how funny and serious Robert Kirkman can be simultaneously. Invincible is the best superhero comic you’ve never read.

This is where the series begins to turn. While Mark deals with typical teenage things like picking a college and girl problems, the Justice League analogs, the Guardians of the Globe, are wiped out. It's your first indication that this may be more than your average teenage superhero book. There's also a great issue where Allen the Alien first appears.
