Icarus and his father, held captive on Crete by King Minos having been forced to build a labyrinth to hold his minotaur, finally manage to escape the island on wing's made from sticks, wax and feathers. Ignoring his father's advice, young Icarus gets carried away and flies too close to the sun, bringing about the destruction of his wings and his own doom, as he plummets to a watery grave. And there his story ends.
Or so we thought.
The truth is his adventure had only just begun, as he is saved from death by an unexpected ally and transported closer to the sun--and further from home--than he ever thought possible.
Teaming up with a host of fellow mythical beasts and legends to take on an other-worldly threat, Icarus is about to wish he'd kept his feet on terra firma, because his inaugural flight may very well prove to be his last.
