2017 saw the introduction of the Teaching Excellence Framework in the UK. The process was designed to enable parity o f esteem between those who teach and those who research, and to inform student choice. Institutions were provided with a range of benchmarked data and were asked to provide a statement as to how they met the criteria of the TEF. This book provides an overview of the pilot year process and an analysis of the outcomes using both the quantitative and qualitative data. This book is designed to help colleagues understand what works and to provide institutions with ideas about how they can continue to enhance their students' experiences.
