A brilliant series just got even better. The DCI Ryan stories are always engrossing and the writing of LJ Ross is excellent. The two strands in this novel are jaw-dropping; from the opening chapter to the last twist, the reader is on a rollercoaster ride which never lets up. Stunning!
The villain was actually... Well. I empathised a lot, and honestly? Mood.I think this is one of my favourites in the series. There's something extra shocking about the destruction of landmarks like the bridges.
Simply Brilliant
I am a massive fan of DCI Ryan and have been patiently waiting for this eighth book, after the last one left us wanting more. Has always LJ Ross doesn't disappoint with this belter of a story and brings us another exciting mystery. In Seven Bridges we catch up with Ryan and his team where they are coming to terms with events from the previous story. Having said this you can read this has a standalone. The story starts of one hell of and opening where i found myself hooked and racing to the end to
Two mysteries/crimes at the price of one! LOLFor the first: was I sorry to see the bitch dead? No, I wasn't! I'm bloodthirsty like that! ;)Was I sorry to find out who killed her? Yes I was! (view spoiler)[There's no love like that of a mother! Poor woman! Give her a medal! (hide spoiler)]As for the second one: (view spoiler)[if she didn't killed all the other people, I would have given her the reason of doubt! But she did it and I just couldn't! (hide spoiler)] Ok, on to the next! :)
This is book 8 in the DCI Ryan series and each book just gets better and better in my opinion! It’s one of the few series that I have on my “must read” list and as soon as I finish one I am desperate to read the next! You can read Seven Bridges as a standalone as there is a complete case within the plot here but I guarantee that if this is your first introduction to Ryan and the team, you will be downloading all the other books in the series after you’ve read this one!Seven Bridges actually star...
This is going to be a hard review to write as I really don't want to give any spoilers away.Stories don't get more shocking than the beginning of this book. When you've read it, you will know what I mean. I had very mixed emotions about the incident in question and I couldn't get those pages turned quick enough to see how Ryan was going to resolve it.Not only is Ryan faced with trying to help out a friend he is also working a very dangerous case to do with bomb threats. Due to the possible threa...
Having read and loved all the previous books in this series, I was thrilled to be able to read Seven Bridges. To be honest, I had been dying to read it as soon as I finished Dark Skies because LJ Ross left us all wanting to know what was going to happen. In Seven Bridges, we are back with DCI Ryan, Anna and the team as they try to move on with their lives followiNg events in the previous books. Seven Bridges opens with a rather shocking storyline, which I’m not going to go into detail about becau...
The latest installment of the DCI Ryan series sees Ryan faced with a madman who is blowing up bridges in the city of Newcastle. As the public react with mayhem to the terrorist threats Ryan and his team race against the clock to chase down the culprit who calls himself The Alchemist. In a side plot one of the team members has found himself compromised in a murder (slight spoiler, though it is introduced in the first chapter). In all it was an easy to read book, but some parts of it seemed rushed...
Brilliant Having loved all the previous books, I was really looking forward to catching up with DCI Ryan and his team. I was not disappointed, this helps us to understand the reason for the anxiety Ryan was under in the previous book. This book deals with a couple of cases, 1 affecting a former member of his team and another where someone is threatening to blow up the iconic bridges. The two entwine very well, and end with eñtrique. Book 9 why not.
Another gripping mystery that I couldn't put down. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I am hooked to this series and can not wait to pick up the next book, LJ Ross always leaves me wanting more.
Well well well, How this author keeps doing this amazes me. I read this within 24hrs. Fast paced little time to take a breath. It almost goes without saying very well written and compelling. Only sad thing is now how long to wait for the next in the series.
