So travel with us as we search the far North and South of our world and then warm up in the exotic lands of Asia as we look for wild animals. Join us as we visit Alaska, the Northwest Territories , the fabled Northwest Passage, Svalbard and the Russian Far East. Then we go to the other side of the world via the Southern Ocean, rounding South America’s infamous Cape Horn, passing the Falkland Islands or New Zealand en route to the islands of the Sub-Antarctic, finally reaching the Antarctic proper; realm of the Golden Age of the Explorers. We continue on to explore Mongolia, Korea, Japan, China, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and India. We describe our experiences at finding birds and mammals as we enjoy the colourful and different scenery and cultures. The accounts are illustrated throughout by our photographs of birds, mammals, flowers, people, scenery, historic buildings and religious sites. The appendices tabulate the daily observations for each animal species with an estimate of the number seen.
