It's emotional. It made me cry and It's amazing... I loved this book very very much. But the story is very smallSo ⭐⭐⭐⭐4 stars
This beautiful one-shot was so emotional in such a short read. So many topics expressed such as bullying, grief, family drama, and friendship all with a splash of magical realism. Was pleasantly surprised with this one!
On the surface Alice: From Dream to Dream looks like a cute and easy read but this story packs quite an emotional punch.
Good story and art, but everything got resolved way too quickly. I think it would have worked better as a several volume arc.
The lovely, dreamy artwork is amazing and the writing and characters are great, too! I appreciate that the characters are written like actual teenagers. Some authors throw around slang to make their characters sound young but it's just hollow. The author really captures the real emotions and dialog of being a teen and struggling with big changes. Plus, real emotions of parents struggling with big changes and teenagers.I also enjoyed that the "magic" Alice has is not epic fireworks. It's deep, ca...
A great concept that I felt wasn’t really done justice by the short number of pages and pathetically weepy protagonist.Alice was mostly annoying. She cried at almost every opportunity and was insecure when she had no need to be. It was understandable to some extent, but really it hindered the coolness of her dream-hopping ability by putting such a prolonged dampener on it.The art was fantastic and I loved the colours; it was definitely one of the highlights of the comic. However, as I always lik...
Really enjoyed this! Beautiful story and illustrations/artwork.
A surreal story of a girl who can enter other people's dreams from an Italian author and illustrator. Sort of like Nightmare on Elm Street for tweens and teens, with a much happier ending. Good fun.
This is about a teenager, Alice, who has the power to go into other people's dreams. This is treated as a traumatic experience in this story because going into other people's dreams is not voluntary for her. In addition to dealing with the trauma of this power, Alice also experiences severe bullying at school. Overcoming these two problems is what Alice has to deal with in this book. Alice, the main character, is really well developed, but the supporting characters are not as well developed, so
It was so-so. The art had nice lines and lovely colours, the concept of unwillingly entering the dreams of people you sleep near was cool, but I had a problem with the way the mean-girl bully was not really confronted by either the guy she was coveting (who never straight-up told her off for being a bitch to his best friend, as if he'd go out with someone who was that much of a jerk to a friend or girlfriend of his!), or the girl's family (ah, sorry, you'll just have to be nice & put up with her...

Beautiful story. Beautiful design. I appreciate a nicely thought out plot. Would purchase this one. :)
This was such a good graphic novel! I think Alice's ability is very interesting and it also proved very useful in the comic. Alice and Jamie's friendship was really sweet and I liked them both very much. I also enjoyed the fact that there was a bit of mystery involved. My issue was with Taisha, I didn't like her at all and everyone seemed a little bit too forgiving towards her in my opinion.
I like the dream concept.
I LOVED the art style of this graphic novel. I think this is my favorite art style I’ve ever seen in anything, honestly. The colors were beautiful and went together so well, and the illustrations were just amazing. It was so whimsical and well suited for a graphic novel! This story follows Alice who can experience other people’s dreams. She has been experiencing her brother’s nightmares and has been getting no sleep because of it. The only good part about her life is her best friend Jamie because...
Alice: From Dream to Dream is a captivating piece of escapism that imparts important lessons about being kinder and more understanding to one another. In the dreamscapes, Macaione's illustration shines, showing how potent, fascinating, and deadly the subconscious can be. Although this book is targeted at young adults, I thoroughly enjoyed it as it has enough complexity to appeal to people of all ages. After her father lost his work in Chicago, Alice and her family relocated to Cincinnati. This ca...
This is a very cool graphic novel short story. Our main protagonist is Alice Heroux, she is a biracial 15 year old kid with the ability to enter and share dreams by sleeping near someone. Very interesting right ? Gosh I dig it :)I'm impressed with the opening "scene", I mean how creepy is that you go to sleep and "wake up" inside a coffin with a "dead" body. That is wayy creepy :) thank god it was her brother's nightmare and not "real" :) Oh BTW hot looking brother with punk/goth look :) me like...
Giulio Macaione's graphic novel Alice From Dream to Dream has been on my radar for some time now. I've never read anything by this author before, but the concept sounded interesting: A teen girl who has the ability to enter other's dreams.I was expecting something along the lines of Inception or maybe even The Cell, but unlike most people with this unique ability probably would, Alice doesn't abuse her power. No nocturnal influencing the choices and actions of her family and peers... No getting
4.5⭐️ Alice from dream to dream is a GN with a really interesting plot. The fact that she could jump onto everyone's dreams was such a great story and I thought it had a lot of potential.Read the full review on my blog➡️ https://readingbetweenflowers.blogspo...
This was a much deeper story than i was expecting. I really liked the use of color throughout the illustrations.
