Luna, went to great lengths to achieve everything she was expected to do in life, stayed in school, got a high school diploma, got a job, even becoming a happy wife and life giver to four lovely children. Equally she spent her entire life dodging the stereotypes and evading the cyclical social problems that seem to plague many Indigenous peoples, working hard to build a stable home and family. Intent on giving her children the life she never had.
Nearing the finish line, it appeared that finally all the years of dedication and sacrifice were about to pay off, with their dreams and aspirations becoming reality.
When tragedy strikes in the form of her husband being laid off from the oil patch, the events that follow turn their world upside down, sending her life unravelling at the seams. Through the trauma she is reacquainted and reconnected to her spirituality.
Left homeless, unemployed and with her children apprehended by CPS, she must embark on the fight of a lifetime to pick up the pieces and somehow put it all back together.
