Suburban New Jersey Detective Napoleon Dumas hasn't been the same since last year of high school when they found his twin brother Leo and Leo's girlfriend Diana dead on the railroad tracks, and the girl Nap considered the love of his life. Maura broke up with him and disappeared without giving him any explanation. For the last fifteen years, the detective has been searching, both for her and for the real reason behind his brother's death. Since approximately 2002, the New Jersey detective obsessed by the unsettling death of his brother Leo, and Diana, after they were hit by a train near their town of Wellbridge. And now, in 2017, the demons of that night are coming back to tell Nap that certain elements were left unresolved, including the painful deaths of Nap's high school friends who all happened to belong to a secretive group called the Conspiracy Club. It looks as if he may finally found the answers when Maura's fingerprints turn up in the car of a suspected killer. Nap starts a mission for solutions that only lead to more questions about the woman he loved, about the childhood friends the detective thought he knew, about the discarded military base near where Nap grew up, and mostly about Leo and Diana whose deaths are darker and far more sinister than Nap ever dared imagine.
