This book is an Audible Original. The print copy has yet to be releases, but I encourage you to listen to the audiobook.Audio: This was my first time having two narrators. They did a wonderful job. It took some getting use too having a female and male narrator, but I did enjoy the different voices. I liked how it changes in each chapter; between the two narrators. It was different, but enjoyable. I will say I liked Amanda Ronoconi’s Cajun accent. Jonathan Davis did a good job too, but I did pref...
4.5 How to Date Your Dragon Stars I am a huge Molly Harper, but not just Molly I also equally love Amanda Ronconi so when I saw they added another narrator. I was a little worried but not too much and let me tell you Jonathan Davis’s voice is the voice of Bael.Jillian and Bael meet because she is set out to record the why’s of this town. Why does it work and how can it be replicated. She works for a cooperation that wants to make the coming out of shifters and other creatures that live among the...
Certainly worth reading. I liked it.
This was fun to read but I thought the mystery element was weak. The sheriff and Mayor could not figure out what all the deceased had in common when it was obvious from the get go. I can't wait to see who Zed gets paired with.
Have you ever read a story that is paranormal, mystery and romantic comedy? Well, here's one for you. There's one more thing, the story takes place in a small town. You Know, gossip and everyone in everyone's business. Funny and caring folks. And the most interesting thing, they are all different species.
This review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceHow To Date Your Dragon is a fantabulous paranormal adventure that takes you to the sexy culture of the bayou, where various shifter species live in harmony and a killer on the loose and an enthralling tale between a dragon and a human researcher....A couple days ago I saw this book in the featured Audible Romance Package titles, and i realized that I hadn't picked up Molly Harper in quite a while and decided that trying one of her audioboo...
This is a more-or-less by-the-numbers paranormal romance, though since it's Molly Harper at least all the elements work. The world building is, appropriately enough, a kind of jambalaya of just about everything (except maybe vampires). The Southern Louisiana small town of Mystic Bayou has a mix of all kinds of shifters and fae and Jillian is sent by the sooper seekrit league to study how they get along so well because it's only a matter of time before supernaturals aren't so seekrit any more and...
A thoroughly entertaining listenWithin five minutes of starting How to Date Your Dragon, I was wearing a big goofy grin on my face. Molly Harper is a very talented author and I absolutely love her sense of humour. The characters were interesting, the storyline held a hint of intrigue which kept me entertained, and the connection between Jillian and Bael jumped off the pages. I was completely satisfied with this story and I will not hesitate to read or listen to more from this author. Both narrato...
Audiobook: Narrators – Amanda Ronconi and Jonathan DavisHoly fireballs! This narration was not just a book being read to me, this was a performance! BOTH of these narrators brought this book to LIFE! I’m talking, perfect accents, different voices for every…single…character, and their own interpretation of how the words should be spoken. Their performance is reason alone to listen to this one. I need every freaking audiobook both of them have recorded! Even while the story was a bit lacking in ar...
How to Date Your DragonBy: Molly HarperNarrated by: Amanda Ronconi, Jonathan DavisSeries: Mystic Bayou, Book 1This gal comes to town to do a study on how this town has managed to all get along together which is very unusual since the town is made of various kinds of supernatural beings and creatures. She gets all kinds of attention! Then starts the murders! This is so funny! It is funny, romantic, strange (in a good way), and has the best characters in it!The narration is made up by two narrators...
How to Date Your Dragon is the initial offering in Ms. Harper’s new audiobook-first Mystic Bayou series. The book takes place in modern-day Louisiana, in a world where a limited number of humans know about the existence of the paranormal beings who live among us. The League for Interspecies Cooperation is one group who knows about the paras and is preparing for the day everyone else finds out. Jillian is sent to the town of Mystic Bayou by the League to study how different paranormal species and...
So hilarious and so sexy! Definitely planning to read the rest of this series!
Cute book is cute. I only wish that the mystery behind the murders wasn't REALLY FREAKING OBVIOUS and yet the police officer is all 'I can't figure out what is the connection between these victims' *insert side-eye here*. Then there is the romance. I was enjoying the 'I think you're hot but I find your personality annoying' trope, until it suddenly ends with them having sex. And I don't mean that in the heat of the moment they put aside their logical feelings to give into their carnal ones. No,
Find all of my reviews at: http://52bookminimum.blogspot.com/ Did you know a person can be murdered by ragweed? Okay, maybe that’s an overstatement, but the ragweed count where I live is tryna kill me, bruh. When I’m feeling uggy, there’s only one thing to do . . . . That’s where my go-to-gal Molly Harper comes in. Both her Southern Eclectic and Naked Werewolf series have served as brain candy in the past and since Halloween is just around the corner I thought some more shifty good times wer...
3,7 starsThis was a so much fun. Molly Harper knows how to entertain: there is a set of solidly likeable characters, witty banter, a nice romance that's not all-consuming and there's an interesting story backing it all up and I haven't mentioned the quirky, magical town in the Louisiana Bayou that I loved.I first read a short novella from this series (2.5 Even Tree Nymphs get the blues) which I was not enamoured with beacuse of the wooden & annoying MCs. However, I totally liked the set of suppo...
This author has a formula for her paranormal romance books that suits the novella length very well.Jillian is an anthropologist with a secret group who are aware of the existence of mythical creatures. She's been sent to the town of Mystic Bayou to research the success of a mixed community of paranormals and ordinary humans. There she encounters the town sheriff Bael, a dragon shifter and there's an immediate attraction between them that both are determined to resist. All with the backdrop of mu...
A super quick and fun read, How to Date Your Dragon is another well-written supernatural quasi mystery by Molly Harper. Her latest release is set in Mystic Bayou, a small town in Louisiana, where humans and supernatural creatures coexist peaceably.Jillian, an anthropologist and newbie with the League for Interspecies Cooperation, is sent to Mystic Bayou to research their success in peaceable coexistence. You see, the majority of people in the world have no idea that supernatural creatures exist
Molly Harper knows how to write funny, quirky characters. I love having an author that I can count on to always make me smile. In this book, we have Jillian (a great name, IMHO), and Bael (not as good - this guy is named after an evil god in the bible who demanded death sacrifices?). He's the sheriff of a town that has a mixture of all kinds of magical people and humans. She's a scientist who is there to write a report on how their town is able to blend this mixture of magic-kind and still get al...
Throw all the stars at this book!!! It is excellent!! Molly Harper, who I LOVE, BTW, has excelled in this book. She is introducing a new series of shifters and magic and romance. Our heroine is funny, confident and strong. Just the kind of girl we all love to invite into our book friendship party. You know, that party you would throw with lots of fattening foods and dancing, and has Chris Hemsworth tending bar. (If you’re gonna dream, make it big) Its the party you invite all the literary charac...
Shifters of every variety live openly with humans in the small town of Mystic Bayou while the rest of the world remains unaware. The League for Interspecies Cooperation studies these creatures and as concerns grow that the secret world of shifters will be exposed they decide to begin a study of Mystic Bayou, Lousiana. It is their hope it will be an outline for future societies. Anthropologist Jillian Ramsay's first assignment is derailed, and she is sent to Mystic Bayou after her mentor is injur...
