This is NOT an entire story, just the first part of one. I HATE that.
My first audio-book in forever. I should really listen to more…But yes. It took a long while to get through this, but I’m glad I was able to listen to this story with the narrator. The narrator was amazing and the story was really good. I was hooked right away. The story follows Percival at first, but then the book switches and we then follow the Baron for a while learning about his past and more about this world. I honestly enjoyed following the Baron more than Percival. Nothing wrong with young...
I LOVED THIS BOOK. Perfect. Wonderful. Flawless. I need there to be a book two because damn, that ending.
Greg at book, full of amazing history and excitement. I was mildly frustrated by the ending, but it leaves one wanting more in the next book!
There's something so magical about reading a daring story focusing on that witching hour of childhood, between boy and man. I have a definite sweet-spot for tales like this one. And add to that history, mystery, and dark fantasy. Refreshingly good for sure, after some of the other stuff I've been digging into lately for research. So, thanks, Will. ;)I was given an ARC of this novel for an honest review, and I can honestly say, I loved it! Captivating writing with a magical spark thrown in!
Got pulled in with the telling of this tale. But confess that the scottish accent was a major draw. The story is a good start of a series that includes the backstory and beginning of mentor and friendship relations in a paranormal setting.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. This book pretends to be about young Percival Dunbar, a 13-year old who is fascinated with the paranormal. While it certainly begins like that, it quickly changes to the story of the Tercentennial Baron, to the point where over 75% of the book is focused solely on the Baron. This is not a bad thing--the Baron's tale is complex and engaging. It's simply a point that took be by surprise, as it wasn't the tale I was expecting to read.Overa...
Very entertaining for some supernatural drama!
First of all let me say I really enjoyed this book and will be looking for more in this series to see what else happens with these characters. I wasn’t sure going in what if I would like this or not but after reading the blurb it did catch my attention. It does flip back and forth from now till times in the past but really felt it was carried out well and helped you connect with different characters so that the story was stronger for it. As you read you connect with the characters so that it is
My original The Tercentennial Baron audiobook review and many others can be found at Audiobook Reviewer.Percival Dunbar, a thirteen-year-old boy, discovers a book; the one supernatural book written by The Grimm that is banned. In it, he discovers information about The Baron, The Tercentennial Baron in fact. From there his adventures begin. The Baron is a demon-like creature that hails from centuries ago and has fought in many battles – documented battles no less! Then The Baron disappeared c...
It felt a little like Harry Potter but darker. I loved how he takes the reader through different time periods. The narration was engaging and the story is well written. That ending was a surprising twist. I can't wait for book 2!
I thought this story was about a young boy and an adventure with an old history. But its more an old history come to the future and landing on a young boy. It’s more about the Tercentennial Baron, David Dunbar’s life as he tells it to Perceval Dunbar, a great great great nephew, or something like that, in this modern time. I was definitely suckered in by the gorgeous cover AND Tim Gerard Reynolds narrating (he’s my favorite). But get this, Will Damron is a narrator as well. I had wondered why he...
Great story, compelling read - can't wait to get the next installment!
Could NOT put it down! You become entranced with the world of David Dunbar, come on book 2!!!!!
Entertaining story and clean as far as adult books go. It was not the type of book that I couldn't put down, but it did hold my attention. It was sort of nice to have a book that I could enjoy listening to (I listened to it via Audible) but could put down when my responsibilities demanded it.
